This is already being done for, I think three seasons now, and it got stricter last season as the doctors are now no longer team employees and authorized to halt the game until said player is removed.

That is really good, not just this but against cheating.

There was a scandal in rugby where a player faked an injury in order to put another player on, there was fake blood capsule and everything. There team doctor made a real cut to make the injury "real". She was sacked and suspended by the General Medical Council meaning should couldn't practice medicine. He got a 12 month ban. Other staff got 2-3 year bans.

Apparently the team had used the strategy on at least four occasions.

Pretty embarrassing for the game.

Sarcasm, right?
Sorry, Raptor; but I'm serious.

Los Angeles is welcoming the Rams back with mult-million dollar tax concessions, yet does little more for the homeless camped out on Skid Row than occasionally hosing the feces and urine off the sidewalks where they sleep.

That wouldn't work. The money sport generates wouldn't magically go into that or anything else. It would just disappear. Also, good luck getting the public to just accept that. Sport overall is a positive force.

But...but...capitalism!
Wait a sec...are you one of those socialists-commies that thinks a society should provide for its citizens with some degree of fairness?

(Yeah, that was totally sarcasm. I actually *like* many attributes of socialism & feel a balance between the two is probably best)

I don't understand why people think 20th century totalitarian communism is akin to a Nordic Market Economy, also described as Democratic socialism. If Sanders did somehow win the election, not looking good at this point, and if he did somehow get a Nordic Market economy approved, that wouldn't mean the execution of individuals dangerous to "the party" and everyone else being shipped off to communal farms.

Too bad that "Trickle-Down Economics" turned out to benefit only the upper economic classes. The middle economic classes are shrinking, while the lower economic classes are growing.

I like football and rugby . My favorite team is the dallas cowboys. I try to catch rugby whenever it is on american t.v. . I think rugby is becoming more popular in america. It is making a comeback in the olympics this year. I think concussions are decreasing in the nfl.this is one of a thousand issues being pushed by the far left.people should be free to play football if they want to.i have a honest question for former rugby players and rugby fans. Do you
Think it would be safe for me to try out for amateur rugby . Im 30 years old.

I can't see why not unless you are really unfit, but bare in mind some people have been playing since since they were kids. In the US, most started in college.

Ametuer rugby is a lot slower paced than pro or semi pro. In universities it is picking up though, becuase they pick the right athletes.

Also depending on the club you may have teams A, B, C teams usually called 1st XV, 2nd XV, 3rd XV in schools, and even the you probably be practicing some time before you get on a team that competes.

Most important thing is get good coaching and stick to the basics.

Learning the tackling technique is important, as it is different from AF, and you want to do it safely.
