I think Clinton and all her fans in the media cost the Democrats the election. People aren't as dumb and as uneducated as the media or Hollywood like to portray. Whenever they show a white person from the south, they find the biggest idiot possible, yet when I've listened to Christopher Hitchens phone ins on youtube, I was astounded by the knowledge of some of the callers from the south. All I heard on election night is "uneducated whites" from the media, well screw the mainstream media, their tears, race baiting and lies.

Hicksploitation serves them well. Ever wonder why a good portion of all the people who appeared in Borat, and Bruno were white trash southerners? --I'm sure that there were a lot more people that were shot for the movies, but the producers picked the biggest idiots.

Meanwhile, people in the northeast seem quick to cricise the south for it's seeming backwardness, but the reality is that it's actually worse up there.

That video is pure GOLD.

And I like that he mentioned the Tory majority, because that too was a significant upset, and there'd have been no Brexit without that.

The left is destroying itself. And even if you're on the right I say that's a bad thing, you need the left to keep the right "honest" and vice versa. There'd have been no Trump with even a half decent Democrat candidate. So why does the Republican Party need to put any effort in when that is the opposition they're up against? Compare that quality of candidate to Obama vs Romney. If the DNC rips itself apart and nosedives into irrelevance the GOP will become lazy and sloppy because there's no reason not to be.

Guy in the video nailed it.

If you ever get bored, just check some of his videos out. He's so funny.

:)

It'll be interesting to see where the left goes from here. Judging by The Young Turks implosion on election night, things could get worse for them.

The Democratic party isn't liberal/progressive. "Liberals" didn't pick Hillary. The Democratic party did. The primary process is a joke. The Democratic party doesn't support true progressives. That's the lesson to be learned. It has absolutely nothing to do with the people and everything to do with the corporate sponsored party system.

It has a lot to do with people. More than half of the country still voted for Hillary despite what she is.

And that has nothing to do with Trump winning. Trump only won because the Democrats refused to give the people a real progressive to vote for.

Also, people only voted for Hillary because they thought Trump would be far worse. I don't blame them. I personally don't want healthcare repealed. For some it will be a matter of life or death.

Great video, one that Democrats should take to heart.

Frankly, I don't think the Democratic establishment wanted to win. They were paid to front a loser like Hillary instead of someone who could actually win. It isn't the people's fault. It's the damn party system and the fact that unlimited corporate bribery is allowed.

In retrospect the Clinton campaign was a mess. It is so clear now. The emails, Benghazi, Anthony Weiner, her collapse getting into the car, her ignoring the Rust Belt. I just thought she would win anyway because I couldn't conceive of Trump's victory.

As an aside, I thought Alec Baldwin did a terrible job of Trump on Saturday. He looked like an ape. Trump's a lot of things, but he's not dumb. (And I don't think KellyAnn Conway has any regrets.)

No, we voted for her because she's not Trump. We could have voted for another candidate, but Clinton had the best chance of keeping Trump out of the White House, after Bernie was cheated out of the nomination.

Na, Trump won because there's no such thing as a "progressive". Sure, people may have been ignorant and naive enough to vote Bernard Sanders in if he had rightly been the Democrat candidate.

Only out of sheer ignorance. The protesters i've seen don't know a thing about Clinton. There was no real healthcare before and it will just be altered anyway.

She's far worse than Trump, you just don't understand why.

All I care about is how he very well may have allowed for hate and racism to become not just acceptable, but fashionable. Everything good that our country stands for may very well be in danger of disappearing into the abyss of everything that's wrong with our country. I didn't see any of that coming from Clinton.

Take your head out of the sand and stop being so insulting. Not everyone who disagrees with you is ignorant and naive. Not everyone falls for the red bait or is terrified of "socialism".

You would never understand unless you were one of the people personally affected. Be happy you have no health problems or "pre-existing conditions".

that's a valid concern, but i think it's important to keep in mind not to exaggerate it. it's important not to ignore it, but keeping it realistic and focusing on actual politics and policies is the effective way to address it. trump wants to be a politician, and he was elected as such, so he should be treated as such: a politician. he is repulsive, but... deep breaths and ommm... if he's attacked as a role model, he grows as a role model

trump isn't the first trump to happen. his previous name was berlusconi:

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/18/opinion/the-right-way-to-resist-trump.html

http://reddit.com/r/italy/comments/5dqp8z/as_an_american_ive_noticed_striking_similarities/

i was googling about the italian referendum and i found that stuff and was reminded of the fact. so there's (recent) history to learn from. trump and his campaign have some extra features that tend to resemble fascist leaders, but realistically speaking he's waaay more like an "american berlusconi" with fascist-like themes as an undertone instead
