Landover Baptist is a parody site. Nothing to worry about.

However, if you want pure batshit insanity, go to Jesus-Is-Savior.com or Teens-4-Christ. Hell, go to any site linked from Fundies Say The Darndest Things and prepare to lose precious brain cells.

Yes, Landover Baptist Church is a religious parody site. The guy who does the voice on the site sometimes haunts the rooms on Paltalk (and gets booted out of rooms a lot).

The things on FSTDT sound like things that some people in my town might actually believe.

I remember about 15 years ago, when some racing game came out for the Sega Genesis, and there was a broken windshield, and a pattern of windshield cracks looked like it spelled "sex"

Seeing Stars topic

When my children were little there was the Sesame Street thing where some obsessed fundamentalist religionaries worried that children would learn to be gay if they watched Bert and Ernie at bedtime too much.

We have been told the SMG site is a parody but really, how far into the galaxy does the imagination travel? It was a good laugh, though. I have been far too serious lately. Love those urban legends.

Heck, back in the Fifties, there was a book published entitled "Seduction of the Innocent", condemning the evils of comic books. The psychologist who wrote it was apparently particularly concerned about the perceived homosexual subtest between Batman and Robin...

I'm glad that site was a joke, but unfortunately ran into WAY too many people who thought exactly like that. I was born and raised in the South, and ended up in Northern Michigan because I just couldn't take the fundamentalist christians anymore. They're still up here too, but there are a large number of free thinkers in the region around Traverse City. Most of those around here, if they're christians at least aren't fundamentalists.

Stars Alive topic (R U MR GAY? U R, U R !

I am glad I revisited this site. This is the most ludicrous thing I have ever read. I have been in a giggly mood all day. When I saw that picture again, I did not stop laughing for 15 minutes. A real tears-down-the-face, stomach-churning belly laugh. Anytime I feel down, at home, I am coming here.

Recommended laughing.

And if you want a true chimera, as though Satan wanted to create a real-life edition of Landover...

(And he used to be an atheist. I've heard about how the converted tend to be the most fervent, but rollover should have kicked in long ago...)
