I think you are conflating objectivity with dispassion.
Looking at the world objectively, I can take the view that "bad" things happen without any moral direction. If you are on a plane and it crashes, the causes of that crash are not dependent upon some aggregation of goodness and badness on the part of the passengers and crew. A pathogen does not check your moral standing before infecting you.
But that does not mean that I am dispassionate. I care for the sick, regardless of how they became sick, and regardless of their morality.
