These meme threads are so crass and low brow that I do believe they are on par with those so called youtube threads of which I've heard some commoners speak of, but of course since true intellectuals only watch news which is sponsored by a real name brand and not put up by some random stranger for free, I have never actually watched anything on that commie channel nor do I wish to engage in this human discussion spawned by contagious group consciousness.

*I tried to make that sentence as long winded as a real blow hard would talk.

Absolutely, memes are the death of human knowledge, and as long as a meme lives, mankind will never be free, but will be imprisoned by the power of shallow and empty ideas.

Memes are the building blocks of ideas. Humans spread them every time they talk, write or exhibit overt behavior in public.

In context though, memes were basically just things such as lolcats. I was not trying to do an overall criticism of memetics, a study of human ideas, one that could be fruitful.
