Setting aside your unnecessary racist comments which I will only forgive because people born during the Civil War era have a hard time adapting to the new ways of the 21st century, Obama never said he was against earmarks, he said he was against wasteful spending and wanted to reduce it. Earmarks are not all wasteful spending.

He signed the money bill even with wasteful spending. Ho Ho Ho. Like I said, he lies like a Caucasian.

So far, Obama makes Bush look like a fiscal genius.

I can't understand why people are getting on Obama for the economy not being better yet. He hasn't even been in office for two months, and the economy took eight years to get this bad, and will probably take no less an amount of time to become healthy once more. Don't hate Obama until his plans have had time or work(or not). Just sit back, be patient, and try to let things run their course.

I'm pretty sure I don't like you, but I will argue against your point anyway. Obama never said a thing about getting rid of earmarks, he said he was going to cut down on wasteful spending. Like IdahoAspie said, not all earmarks are wasteful spending. Some of them are much needed. Say a state senator is asking for money to build a community center in a city in his state. Some one like you might say this is wasteful, but how do you know? That's like telling someone not to put a certain couch in their house because you don't like it. You don't know what that specific state or city needs, nor do the people in the federal government. Though I will admit some earmarks are pointless, and there are a few in the new budget, but they make up so little of the budget that there isn't even a point in arguing about it.

James, just don't take anything ruveyn says seriously, he's an old coot. :P And we're just a bunch of whippersnappers. ;P
I will admit though that i respect his intelligence and relative insight.

I respect his intelligence and opinions, but the "darkie" remark as of now will make it hard for me to respect him as a person. Though I will admit I'm extremely judgmental.

Well, he's from "that" time =/ One of those peoples that have lived through the segregation and took part in it. I highly doubt we could make him change his ways at his age too. =/

I highly doubt that he's being entirely serious. But then sarcasm is default here.

Obama may be the one in the bathroom now, but that doesn't mean me he is the one that made it smell. Bush was sitting on the thrown for the last 8 years and I am willing to bet he had a bigger impact on what we are smelling now.

The world economy is a huge ship, and it takes a long time to get it pointed back in the right direction, especially one others almost sank it.

Does that explain why Fearless Leader signed the bailout bill in spite of the fact he criticized the earmarks as pure pork (which is what you can expect from Democrats and Republicans alike). He is a hypocrite and liar and he speaks with a forked tongue.

After he has run the country into the ground by the end of his term, how many excuses will you make for him?

And after America has recovered almost fully after the end of his second term, where will you stand? ;)

In spite of what he did, not because of what he did.

But hold on. Wait another three years and see what is what. If it is another New Deal it will fail. In 1937 unemployment was just as high as it was in 1933. The FDR New Deal failed. It was the coming war in Europe that bailed the U.S. out.
