The cartoon is about how some Christians make the mistake of connecting atheism to historical atrocities, e.g. the "Hitler was atheist" thing, when the vast majority of atrocities throughout history were comitted by people with religious, and in many cases Christian, beliefs.

The cartoon does not claim atheism to a completely innocent belief. It is saying that the accusation that atheism is inherently violent and evil is a fallacy and also fantastically hypocritical. And, also, it implies the same about accusations against Christianity. Neither Christianity or atheism are inherently violent.

Valid refers to a correct deduction while cogent refers to a correct induction. For an argument to be sound, its premises have to be true, deductions valid, and inductions cogent. However, in modern philosophies, truth is merely an abstract concept, Popper says induction has no logical basis, so we're left with deductions that can only be valid, but never for certain. BS alert!! !

Turning away from God, ie. Atheism, is pretty bad. You go to Hell for it. God forgives everyone who repents. If you don't repent, if you remain proud when your time of death comes, you can't get into Heaven.
