Agreed, that was interesting.

But is it true/fact ? Seems plausible.. but also could be anti-putin propaganda composed to boost the morale of Ukrainians.

Overall I'd have to say it's more fact that fiction, though.. based on real world evidence of failed Russian military trucks and the existence of so many super yachts for Russian oligarchs. Seems legit that there's a culture of theft in Russia that may have crippled their military capabilities.

The bit that seems most biased and maybe a bit propaganda-ish is all of the allegations about putin's career and him just being a clever thief and never having really done anything. I'm not putin fan or historian, so I have no idea if he really is that big of loser or if those words are exaggerations or outright lies.

Regardless, I do hope that "industrial shrinkage," has resulted in a poorly equipped Russian military that's far weaker than putin believed it to be. That'd be quite the advantage for Ukraine and allied suppliers. 8)

I'd rather read it as an opinion of a frustrated Russian well aware of all the sicknesses of his homeland, not as objective information.

Same.  Subjective opinions, no matter how plausible, pale when compared to objective measurements.

I still value an honestly personal opinion of someone well-informed more than an attempt to be objective by someone poorly informed ;)

Living in Sweden, I must say that I sleep very much better at night than before the war.
The army has shown to largely be a bluff – just like mr Putin himself.

No. Finland has over 1300km of border with Russia, we have fought two wars with the Soviet Russia. Russian army is both overestimated or underestimated by journalists and analysts here and there. The fact is Russia is a “local” Eurasian superpower.
Russia is not even trying to be a global superpower! However, Russian army is the most powerful in Europe and Asia.
While the Russian economy is only the size of that of Spain, they have prioritised their armed forces unlike Western countries...

This comment is too much like gossip/hearsay, but given what has been seen during the invasion attacks ...

Yes.
I have a friend who works in Washington. They were a Fullbright Scholar, and studied NATO. This person has a LOT of contacts. This person told me there were not surprised with the technical problems with the Russian Army, that so much of the money meant for keeping the hardware up to date has been looted by the oligarchs.
This person also told me that the ICBMs are likely also in poor shape, that if Russia launched one, it would not be a surprise if if blew up in the silo.

Plutonium in the warheads needs replacement every 10 years, so probability of the red button not working is quite high.

Undoubtedly - but the point is, members should link to the source of their quotes for themselves.
If someone can go to the "trouble" of copy/pasting an article they can add the link too.

Truth.

In a bit of a tangent it is interesting how many times in hobby forums someone will take the time to type a 2 paragraph post asking a question and also talking around the question, then wait a couple days for a reply.

Then I go and plug the question info in to Google and get something like 143,000 results in zero point 35 seconds with the first, second, or third, result having exactly the answer/data they wanted.

Human behavior can range from really odd to exceptionally odd at times.

Sometimes I admittedly get a bit snarky and say something like, "I googled that and found the answer in an article titled such and such on such and such a date" and that's all I say, they will have to go find that article themselves.
Any more I usually do not reply at all.

Also bewildering is the number of people who have said things along the lines of "I don't know how to use Google".

Have they practiced?

No, they didn't practice because they didn't already know how to use it.

Say what?

That's odd, did they already know how to build and superdetail a model when they began building models?

People can be so strange.

Sometimes people just prefer the pseudo social interaction of forums vs. google. Especially when they're seeking an opinion, recommendation, or validation.

That is the trouble with Quora. It is simply opinion pieces from random individuals.
There is no way to verify the accuracy of what is said or who said it, most of the time.
This is why I didn't bother making a link.

Take Quora with a pinch of salt.
I have seen some shockers in terms of bias.
But I did find this particular comment interesting enough to post it, obviously. ;)
