I must say im touched at the way you two (paticularly toikai) talk about life. Oh too bad a little pain. So what. If i dont eat enough roughage i might get constipation which is painful too. Your pain is temporary. I cant believe how selfish and righteous you are being over potentially killing someone.

Actually my ex said she thought she was pregnant and i was a bit shocked but trying to come to terms with it but then she said she wasnt so i believed her and still do but if i found out she decieved me and she had a termination then she would be in for a serious amount of disciplining off of me.

Your boyfriend being for it doesnt make any difference to me. Men can be cruel about life too. Just look at all the dictators of the past.

Actually i have talked to women about births and though they say it is very painful. They are still here and dont seem all that traumatised by it. In fact my Mother has given birth to seven boys and reckons she personally couldnt go through with a termination. I have heard other women say this as well. Not everyone has your issues with the world. Have you given birth? If not you know no more about what the pain feels like than i do.

Saying you spit on me because I spelt your name wrong (its not even your real name is it?) is very immature and completely out of proportion. Trust you to think the worst of everyone.

I have never hit a female in my life despite emotional and physical provocation by irational girls and women and in fact my ex hit me a few times and i just restrained her from it and no more. However to terminate a baby and lie about it would possibly get my juices going enough to give her a good thrashing. I would be doing her a favour. It would be life education in my book.

BTW its attitudes like yours that would be enough to drive a man to misogany if all women were like that.

and we already said we don't want kids because this world sucks, it's for their good. if i believed it would serve the kid better to be IN this world i'd give birth to it. because that's all i care about. but even if i didn't, men don't have a say in what a woman does with her body.

I think ive just changed my mind. It is a good thing that people who think they have a right to kill off children and then be pompous about it dont pass their genes on to a further generation. No more argument about this from me.

There isn't a correlation between terminating a pregnancy and the pain it causes to deliver a child. Women don't terminate pregnancies, because it will be painful to deliver the baby and yes I have terminated a pregnancy, so I know.

I have personally delivered a child, vaginally, without drugs and it was the most painful thing in my life. That is saying a lot as I have suffered from fibromyalgia, TMJ, I have been rear-ended at 45 miles and hour (the wreck blew the tires out and popped the stereo out of the dash), which strained my muscles from the top of my head to the bottoms of my feet, broken my nose twice, was hit on the thigh by a baseball bat wielded by an angry boyfriend and had him throw a 75 mile an hour fast ball, which hit me in the stomach, and none of those things hold a candle to the pain of child birth. After two children, it isn't as painful and becomes easier, so I am sure the seventh child in your family probably just fell out.

It has been a year since I have had my daughter, I cannot remember what the pain was like (which is the body's way of encouraging a women to continue to procreate), but I remember how damn miserable and horrible the process was, so I am not about to do that for another couple of years.

Charming. When someone loses the argument it is easy to resort to insults. Im not usually religous but i will pray for your tortured soul.

I try to be forgiving but im not sure i will be able to accept any forthcoming apolegies after such a vitriolic rant even if there are other influences involved in your behaviour.

cut the personal attacks out, please, people. this is a debate, not a fight. and it's a contentious issue, so people are bound to have strong opinions and feelings around it. let's just keep it civilised, eh? besides, ranting never convinces anyone of your point of view.

there's another thread where someone posted (and i've repeated) that it's a good idea to use "in my experience", and the like, when posting, so that one admits it isn't the whole picture, but the bit one has seen of the picture so far. would be useful here, i reckon.

i'm sorry, i'll have to admit i lost my head. but it wasn't because i was losing an arguement, but i can't say why it was because that would probably be another personal attack so i'll just not say it.
