Do I find it plausible that Zimmerman started a fight? Yes, I do. He was eager and frustrated. And a witness says Martin said, "get off, get off". IT's entirely plausible. But plausible isnt beyond a reasonable doubt. Two different things.

The verdict is a sign that the US legal system has gone down the tubes. Unbelievable.

How does he start the fight without leaving a mark on Trayvon and end up on the bottom getting beat up screaming for help? I'm just not seeing it but lets forget what's plausible, what do you think happened? What do you think is the most likely scenario?

Jeantel's testimony wasn't a credible in my opinion, she wasn't there obviously and she admitted lying to authorities before.
Also, since the prosecution thought that the person screaming was Martin when I think it is very likely Zimmerman, isn't it possible the person saying 'get off, get off' is Zimmerman as well?

Really!? So then the attack wasn't unprovoked as you guys seem to be harping on.......

Strange man comes up to you in the middle of the night visably armed. If I were him, my fight or flight reflex would have kicked in at this point too. If anything Martin was the one standing his ground and likely feared for his life just as much as Zimmerman (and justifiably so.)

Regardless of whether Zimmerman is a murderer or just an overzealous dumbass.......How exactly does the dead kid fit the role of villain in the narrative that you have concocted? What if Martin had been the one armed and Zimmerman (fearing for his life) went for the gun? If Martin had pounded his head into the pavement and killed Zimmerman before he could get a shot off, would that have been justified because he feared for his life?

I personally feel that Zimmerman wasn't guilty of murder but of simply being an idiot for starting the confrontation in the first place. I just can't comprehend the mindset of the people on this board who don't see how Martin is not a victim (regardless of whether or not they believe Zimmerman was too.) This is a tragedy regardless.

He wasn't visibly armed, he was carrying concealed, his holster was an inside the waistband model that keeps the gun hidden. He claimed that during the fight his gun became exposed, and that's when Martin grabbed for it.

You're not allowed to walk around with a drawn firearm, even in Florida; I'm not sure about their open carry laws.

Zimmerman's gun was concealed and holstered, he says Martin saw it when his shirt rolled up when he was trying to slide out from under Martin who was slamming his head into the concrete. I don't know about you but I wouldn't try to fight someone I knew was armed.

Insecure men carry guns because they want to feel like gods. Teenage boys wear tough machismo personeas and act like thugs because it's expected of them. It was inevitable that one of these hotheads would end up dead the second they encountered each other.......... human nature. :(

Ive been over those scenarios. You can start a fight by grabbing someone in the night, and then lose. It doesnt really matter to me if you don't understand that.

The legal questions are settled. What remains is his reputation. There are people who don't like him, don't want him around and will view him with suspicion. That's life for people who emerge from high profile cases with ambiguous results and a load of skeletons dumped out. The Constitution doesnt require that anyone like you.

Old George had no testimony. No cross examination, nothing. That's his right but it doesnt help perception of him.

Uh..no. Z's version states T was on top punching him and up to the point where he had to shoot him. Forensic and medical evidence lends credibility to this as Z's injuries on the back of the head and face match the description (plus his blood and hair on the pavement) and the bullet angle matches a shot from below-to-above. When police arrived Z was on top of T and T was on his back. Z was restraining T's arms to each side.

The point is to suggest that he was lying about what TM actually did and how the physical conflict actually went down; the point is that he exaggerated his own physical danger to better justify his own use of the gun.

Here we go again. The premeditated, perfectly executed evil plan isn't it?

As for your slippery slope, it goes the other way too: how *little* danger justifies shooting someone? When someone slaps you? When someone grabs your lapel? When someone enters your personal space?

If someone slaps you, grabs your lapel and tosses you down and gets on top of you.. yes. You're in danger. Independently? thats just as silly an argument as trying to label Z racist because of what happened.

We know that Zimmerman was eager to find Martin, we know he was deeply frustrated with "a**holes" and "f***ing punks" always getting away. We know someone on the phone says they heard Martin say "get off, get off". The trial just came down to reasonable doubt over the details not a rousing vindication of every sentence George ZImmerman ever strung together.

Correction: The GF herself said she was not sure whose voice that was. Big, BIG difference.

He was not visibly armed. Have ever even seen a weapon holster? They're not the hip-slung ones from the cowboy movies you know. Hint: 'concealed'.

We know for a FACT Z was not wielding the weapon when T confronted him. The GF and Z's version both say T confronted Z and Z replied. Hardly the conversation you have if one party has a gun visible in any way.

Also..if martin 'feared for his life' why did he remain on location for the 2 minutes it took Z to talk to the police dispatch? All the facts point to T returning to the alley to confront Z.

There is no villain. Just two people who made a really bad decision.

If martin had pounded his own head on the pavement? what?

He did not start it. How many times do I need to point to the testimony of the GF (which MATCHES Z's version independently..almost word by word) shows T confronted Z?

Who started the fight is what is not known. However the lack of ANY injury to T's body aside from bullet wound and scraped knuckles strongly indicates T not only started it but dominated that fight.

...something which is quite, quite hard to do. This is the funny part because the deceased would've had to cooperate with 'the evil plan' and not get hurt at all ..and then get shot. Only then will the GF's testimony match Z's version and both of these be backed up by forensic evidence and witness testimony...including the police officer that arrived on the scene less than a minute after the gunshot went off.

If this happened then Z is the missing member of the A-team. Gotta love it when a plan comes together.

She testified it was Trayvon in court. When they pointed out in the deposition statement she said she couldnt be totally sure but that it sounded like Trayon's voice to her.

She clearly did not repeat Zimmerman's claims. That's just crazy talk. In her account Martin is pursued again and again.
