Now that there are plenty of Christians, what is there to talk about now? Or didn't think that far ahead  That happens to me all the time ...

I'm Christian, more specifically, I'm Catholic, but I don't come on Wrong Planet to talk about Christianity or to meet other Christians. And besides, I'm not an ordinary Christian and I have beliefs that many Catholics and other Christians would find blasphemous and heretical. I love many religions and incorporate some of their ideas into my life along with Christianity. Ordinarily I stay away from this forum entirely, but I got side tracked by another issue being discussed here via a link in another forum and just happened to see this thread.

Same here, except replace Catholic with Lutheran.

I'm a Christian, but I'm a Non-Conservative Christian.

What about me AG, how come I didn't get any credit?.... :(

Look, if I start treating women as equals online, then I don't see how I can feel justified when I treat them unequally offline. And you know, somebody has gotta make me sandwiches and get paid 75 cents to my dollar, right? :P

I dunno, if you aren't excluding some group from being considered equally human, then it's not living, y'know? And I already made my peace with homosexuals, atheists, and brown people. :P

That's too bad AG. :( I sent you a pm about it by the way...

Anyhow, I used to be a Christian before, but I realized I was just a Christian because the majority of my school was and I was afraid of going to hell. My school was VERY evangelical Christian based, and FULL of Republicans...that thought Bush was a great guy... <.< They kind of have this "fire and brimstone" way of preaching about the bible...but now I'm home schooled, so I don't have to worry about it as much.

I am friends with more Christians then with anyone else of another religion, but the Christians I met in places like SF or online are neat and wonderful people. :)

I don't believe Christ is my savior or anything like that, but I agree with a lot of the teachings. I actually find myself more of a Pagan with Christian-like values. :P

But anyhow, if the person that made this topic wanted to find people that shared their faith it should be okay. I would LOVE to find people at least with my beliefs just a bit. They don't have to completely echo my beliefs because I don't think that's possible, but at least be close to my beliefs...:P

I know, I tried to send you a response to it. Hopefully I gave no offense in that response, but I am so prone to putting my feet in my mouth that I sometimes wonder if I should just keep them there.

I also wonder if the misunderstanding has something to do with how you use :P and how I seem to use :P ? As I often use :P as a sign of a joke, but you seem to use :P for some non-joking attitudes as seen in your last post.

I read and replied. :)

I go back and forth using " :P ". Usually it is like you said for serious matters. So I apologize for the accusation. :(

It's ok that you accused me. Better than behind my back.

In any case, I still am very perplexed by your use of this smiley: :P . If you hold your cursor over this smiley, it is called "razz". This is a reference to "blowing a raspberry". If we look at wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blowing_a_raspberry we see that blowing a raspberry is "to make a noise signifying derision (and/or silliness)". Your usage is neither derisive or silly. I suppose you might know best whether or not your communication method is common though.

I'm pretty sure that there is a God and Chrisitianity makes the most sense to me. Whats holding me back is change and people. I want to meet more christians but I want to be accepted for who I am. A lot of hardcore Christians seem fake to me. Like they are forcing something when talking to you and always have to bring up Jesus in a conversation. I want to grow in my faith but I def need support and cant do it alone. What do you think i should do?

Here is a fairly decent standard to try to follow:

“If anyone ... thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart (with intellectual assent absent of action), this one’s religion is worthless. Clean and undefiled religion before the Elohim and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” (James 1:26-27)

If you do become a Christian, there will be some change & that's unavoidable. However, maybe you can find a church with which you're more comfortable? The ones to which you refer may not be the most suitable for you, so is there anywhere else? Ideally, at least, we're supposed to goto some church & it should help - but reality doesn't always work that way!

^ Yeah I know i was being bad but i just couldn't resist the jibe. Maybe i should restrain myself more but unfortunately the majority of religionists really give me the s**ts. There are a few on this forum who do have a good handle on reality and I respect those. The idea that WP should have a separate and critic free area for religion annoyed me. The whole idea that religion should be free from critical analysis is wrong, and to have a special little space on WP for religion just adds to that

Hmmm, yes.

This is a board that can be about religion, not for the purpose of it.

It would be more appropriate for OP to start an autism thread in a christian forum, in my eyes, if OP wants a place free from discussion.
