Um, yah it is. Its a dogma system based off of older religions that existed in that region at the time. Jesus' association with wine sounds a lot like Dionysus. Yahweh bares resemblance to Baal , the Phoenician storm god. In Isaiah, it say He subdued Rahab, the sea serpent. in a very similar way to how Baal defeated Yam, the god of chaotic waters in the Ugaritic Baal and Anat Cycle tablet.

Christianity is based, in large part, on Judaism, an ancient city-state religion immersed in the race politics. The Bible outlines, very clearly, the supremacy of the Jewish populace and inferiority of everyone else, the gentile. I find it a bit odd that 1/3 of the earth's population believes in a religious system that asserts a very tiny minority of people as being the chosen people of God.

Personally. I think its all stupid BS and that, in all truth, anyone who's fortunate enough to be born to live life on this tiny rock floating in the infinite expanses of the universe is a chosen person of God.

"Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids. Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession. And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever. Lev.25:44-46"

These are the words of evil, racist, wicked, despicable men, not God.

Saying that Christianity is not a religion is like saying that Islam is the religion of peace.

Or that popcorn isn't a corn that pops.

It does seem to fit all definitions that follow:

Religion is a collection of cultural systems, belief systems, and worldviews that establishes symbols that relate humanity to spirituality and moral values.
or
a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
or
a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects
or
the body of persons adhering to a particular set of beliefs and practices

And unfortunately for everyone concerned, it does emphasise more orthodoxy than orthopraxy.
