Are you a conserative, liberal, moderate, etc and why
I'm a classical liberal because, ultimately, I believe that the state guaranteeing freedom is as - or more - important than justice. The welfare state needs cutting the hell out of too. There's a large element of conservatism in my political outlook, but not of the prohibitionist Laura Norder type. Oh, and a large dollop of national interest conservatism / Unionism.
Death penalty is wrong in all cases. Murder is wrong. Period. Even if the person is a serial killer, it doesn't make it right.
We would probably be in a better place with less guns. I know we have the right to defend ourselves, but guns end up in the wrong hands anyway.
The government needs to stay out of our personal lives. Let the gay couple marry, let the woman have an abortion, etc. People have their own morals. Who are we to tell others how to live?
I am neutral on affirmative action and feminism.
Healthcare, education, etc is a right to everyone. Its wrong that only "the rich" people have good healthcare and education. The government should care for us. We shouldn't have to work for our basic rights. Especially since people can't find jobs... Basically I'm a socialist... but I've been called a Marxist already.
If I had to say something I would say libertarian, I believe a governments job is to protect and serve those within it's borders.
This extends to the obvious crimes of theft, and murder, and any logical extensions of that like fraud and criminal negligence.
My stance on abortion has to do with autonomy and potential life, that is to say if there is a chance that the abortion will not kill(using this term for convenience's sake) the fetus then it should not be done. Wheres if the woman has allowed the fetus to grow to this point she has effectively accepted responsibility for it and has no moral right to change her mind at this point of its development.
Lets see gun rights I would say that the elimination of guns is foolish a government is less likely to listen to it's people if it knows they would have a hard-time arming themselves to go through with a revolution.
Marriage I do not see the governments involvement with marriage as just, if two people wish to live together it should be their business and if should someone decide to leave they should retrieve their property and financial contributions through the court, if leaving would put them into poverty the governments welfare policies should support them until they can support themselves. I have made my views on custody fairly clear I think.
Welfare I think it is the responsibility of the state to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves for any reason, it is also my opinion that they government is responsible for making sure that people can take care to themselves. This would either be through training, therapy, or simply finding or making a job. If it becomes apparent that the person is simply refusing the job for conveniences sake then I obviously feel they should be left in the dirt to find their own way.
I think that covers most points, let me know if I forgot something and I'll add it.
that is right. Even threatening violence is a felony.
ruveyn
Is threatening Political violence or supporting it a felony? I believe it is but should it be? Say i wanted to support or financially aid the ANC when they were committing terrorist acts against apartheid south africa. I think that should be allowed and i don't think it would be under todays UK legislation. I don't know about the US?

It actually depends on whether or not one is being literal, there is such a thing as figures of speech and metaphorically speaking.

A lot of Palestinian groups use charities as front organisation's to channel funds. So giving funds to some group must be illegal. Say if i were to hold out a hat for Irish republicans in Boston, I think you'd probably be arrested for that. But if i were to say on a public platform "I support IRA bombers and commend their activities" would that be covered by the first ammendment? (I dont support them btw. Just interested as to what the law is over there)
