In Iowa, in a surprisingly similar move, the state government is moving ahead with a law that will make it a crime to take or possess videotapes of factory farming that might harm the commercial interests of the farmer.
I really wish people could hear past all of that spin! The article goes on to make a great point about transparency being a really good thing all around, but there is no law being proposed that says it will be a crime to take or to possess videotapes of factory farming that might harm the commercial interests of the farmer. That law is simply saying it will be a crime to take or to possess videotapes of factory farming
unless done with transparency!
