Is rape really as common as the media would have us believe?

Yeah, plus what people say and what they do are two very distinct and often separate things. As Aspies we should know this well.

1. Even though they are extremely high, the high crime rates do not imply that 1 in 4 men are rapists.

2. I know my friends pretty well and you don't know them at all.

What popular belief? I never said it wasn't. Also I certainly didn't interpret what he said as meaning that they're getting "less likely to be reported" than before because I don't think it was ever likely to be reported, considering that even the possibility was not even considered. I also don't think something should be ignored just because it's less prevalent. Also, rape of men by other is much more prevalent and much closer to the statistics of the rape of women but that's only recently starting to be realized.

Thanks Jono for actually taking the time to look at what I actually said, rather than going off on a blind tirade towards me, like Vexcalibur, JakobVirgil, and Orwell.

My point is directed towards the fact that rape isn't just perpetrated by men, this is something women are the culprits of too, and people need to recognize that fact, instead of going off on the latest sexist tirade.

I find it extremely offensive and upsetting Every time Men speak of Sexual violence against men by women.
I do realise it happens but it's really not worth bringing it up.
Because Women hardly rape men. it's a FACT.

Sexual violence among homosexual males are different topics all together. but you are dealing with often times Highly sexualised males on here.

Every time there is a mention of word Rape, Automatically some guilt-stricken men speak of sexual violence by women toward men as if it's a topic that are absolutely necessary to bring it up. it's quite sickening because it happens all the time.

Because I don't believe it's worth mentioning. Especially if you are familiar with rape statistics in America.

The focus should remain on Raping Women. and I bet majority of men would feel kind uncomfortable discussing these because
I sure bet most men reading this most likely would have enjoyed and jerked off to some drugged out women drinking some guy's sperm or being gang-banged.

and I do wonder if they even have consciousness to find out if she's okay or better yet, Alive?

Let me ask this to you guys, Do you feel it increases the excitement when jerking off to video footage's of women that are no longer on this planet?

Because you would be partially fulfilling some necrophilic fantasy among all the dirty demented fantasies you guys have?

I'm sensing quite a fair bit of misandry in that post. The effect of rape is the same, regardless of the gender of the victim. Are you seriously insinuating that anyone who makes the suggestion that males can be victims must be viewed with suspicion? No, I don't think that mentioning male victims of rape should take away the empathy towards women but you know, it's not a zero-sum game. Yes, I'm well aware that female-on-male rape is considered rare, that's why I personally mentioned male-on-male rape.

Rapists are out there, and they commit crimes multiple times, as long as they can get away with it anyway, so they end up inflating the statistics. I have been around long enough to have met one, and I met a paedophile once too. These people are different from ordinary people in the population. I am certain the man I met, the rapist, had the mental characteristics of a typical rapist, though he seemingly had a white middle class upbringing and was ordinary to anyone who would meet him.

I have been intoxicated in my drunken days with many guys, as I have always had male friends, and I learnt from that that approx ~90-95% of men will try and walk you home safely, and are trustworthy. But there are that ~5-10% who will try and take advantage wherever they can unfortunately.

A lot of women do not report rapes because it is a humiliating process, think about it, first going to the hospital for a rape kit and to be examined by a doctor, and getting reports written, and then having to relive the trauma over and over again in front of a courtroom full of strangers. There are few women who would bother to go through this process just to spite someone. I couldnt imagine what it would be like to be in the position where i had to go through this process.

I once found this website which talked about facial expressions and differences in face between men who were rapists, men who were violent, men who were into drugs and or petty crime, and men who had no criminal record. It was really interesting, I noticed the men who had been convicted of rape had a certain look about their features, and it reminded me very much of the man that I met.

I once read a book about how to determine if a man is a criminal based on the shape of his skull. It was published over a hundred years ago.

Be pretty easy to cherry-pick pictures to build a website like that.

It wasnt published 100 years ago, it was a recent study which was carried out on a number of men in a prison, along with some control subjects who had never had a criminal conviction.

Mental disorders often have tell tale facial characteristics and expressions, along with developmental disorders.

For example many people with AS have certain expressions about their face, such as staring and expressionless facial features.

A group of schizophrenics would also have a certain correlation between their facial expressions and features in common too. The same thing can be found in people who are prone to various crimes. A person's neurology determines their average facial expression after all.

The idea is centuries old, and it's as much BS now as it was then.

Have you seen the poster comparing George W Bush expressions with monkeys? Get enough pictures of someone and you can find the expression you're looking for. Especially if there is video of them.

It is not BS at all. A person's neurological setup determines their average range of facial expressions. It is science. After all, it is the brain and its chemicals which controls the muscles of the face, and controls gaze, the persons propensity to smile or not smile, eye expression etc. Any abnormality in brain structure normally will show up in a person's facial expressions.

Also I read a study in which some babies who will later go on to develop schizophrenia have been noted to have an asymmetrical crawl in their baby videos. Schizophrenia is a disorder of the frontal lobe, so it doesnt get activated until later childhood or adolescence, when the frontal lobe starts to mature. However signs can be seen in these babies, which were shown to crawl primarily with one side of their body, dragging along the other half, which showed that while the baby's development appeared normal, their brain was not the average brain at all.

I have noticed autistic tendencies in my own early childhood photos, such of photos of me at 3 staring into space, and other aspies I know have unusual baby photos, such as a very detached look on their baby face, or staring with very intense interest at an object.

So, the face pretty much says it all. It is an interest of mine.

OK here's my challenge.

Gimme a URL to this website and the name of any male celebrity over the age of 25, and i will find a picture where he looks like a rapist.

It is true that anyone could look like a rapist in all sorts of photos. These photos however were either mugshots, which are expressionless, or control pictures where the man was told to not have any facial expression. All photos in the study are completely expressionless.

Anyway, you dont believe me and I am not worried, you can have your opinion.

I am actually a woman who went through the whole process of getting these men convicted of raping me by using drugs and duress. I had filed many police reports with Police station regarding attempted kidnapping, drugging, video-taping and raping. but they didn’t fully prosecute these individuals. I am quite confident that these individuals at LAPD have been paid off by these rapists.
and I have consulted with the lawyers and went through endless questionnaires and have recorded all the statements. as you have said, the people, including, Doctors, Lawyers, Policemen, people in court room love to see you humiliated.
I guess they must have been dumbfounded over the fact that Women in my status and background have the courage to report these acts and shame them.
I was even harassed by male professors from Colleges in Southern California. They are all reputable schools with reputable teachers. and One of them happens to be a Christian school with respected teachers. But it goes to show you what a weak morality they have. It’s all about what is in for them. I was sexually harassed by the male professors who think they can do it to young naive foreign student and get away with it. Several students in those schools also had video-taped me in my vulnerable state to produce a part of pornographic video clips. Obviously these students who are part of film majors do not have any idea doing that to female students is illegal.
These people are not there to help you to get revenge. They actually enjoy these types of process of humiliating and shaming the victims. If their daughters were sexually exploited in the same manner, it would be a different story. Most likely the rapists would be shot to death.
I want these stories to be acknowledged internationally. Because Many Americans have the tendencies to enjoy the sexual exploitation of "other countries women"

Obviously Individuals in city of Los Angeles think it’s okay to sexually exploit “foreign women” or “women of colour”

Why do I want these stories to be acknowledged? Because if you are a foreign woman looking to travel to these parts of America, you will not be protected after these sexual exploitation. You will be raped, violated and will have to endure living through a death threat.
Because my experience with them suggested to me that they somehow think it’s Okay to sexually exploit women in financial slavery or chemical addiction.
as long as their wives and daughters are well fed and protected in their God-loving country. and when I should be receiving the financial help as well as medical help, Guess what I get? I get death threats after being raped for nearly 10 years of my youth in drug induced haze.

I will be continued to write more of these crimes Because I want people to care and protect these women and fight against these evil men who can so easily violate women's right with their selfish greed.

Because I do not want any women to live by their rules. Women are not commodities. Women are not Sex Slaves to be used and raped. It's men's job to protect them instead of drugging them for their amusement.
And I want their crimes to be paid for fully all their deeds and Justice served for these vulnerable sex workers.
And I am sharing these stories because I want you as a woman to see what Your men are capable of doing to other sex workers and you as a strong, independent woman should never tolerate these misdeeds.

Know what I think happened? I think you started taking drugs of your own volition. You became addicted. I think you ran out of money. I think the unscrupulous kinds of men who have access to drugs had zero problems taking advantage of you. You've since attributed that to all men.

The reason you had difficulty prosecuting these men because rational thinking individuals do not consider it "drugging and raping" if the "victim" snorts the stuff herself and is "enthusiastic" on film. That's not to say it's right, but it's not rape and you are entirely responsible for getting yourself into that situation.

If any of your grand never-ending rape stories are remotely true, it only reinforces my belief that the whole slutwalk thing was BS. Why is it the same women get raped over and over again? Could it be that perhaps she behaves in a way that puts her at greater risk of being raped or sexually assaulted? When goodhearted men try to advise women against or prevent them from acting in these ways (that is protection) their proverbial hands are slapped away. Enjoy the post-feminist world ladies.

Setting aside this conjecture, there is a faction in the mental health field that believes that abused women will not be able to put their past behind them unless they are able to depersonalize and externalize it.

To that end, they promote fallacies such as the idea that rape is strictly a hate crime. And while it's true that the FBI states that not only have they never interviewed an admitted serial stranger rapist who claimed to have enjoyed the sex, but that very few of them said that they ever expected to enjoy it - most rape is committed by someone the victim knows.

People who rape complete strangers are a completely separate pathology from, say, serial date rapists.

I also find it ponderous that they will promote the idea that rape is a product of guys jackin' it to porn AND that rape isn't about sex. And i resent that when i was young and impressionable some feminist informed me that my perfectly natural naked lady fetish made me a potential rapist.

If it helps people get healthy, I'm tempted to say, well, that justifies it. But it becomes very tricky when recipients of this form of externalization therapy promote such fallacies as the truth.

Lets be a little bit fair - successful criminals learn how to identify their victims at a distance. There are probably women who have unfortunate flirting habits, but there are probably a lot more women who's body language indicates that they are easily taken advantage of.

I don't know how you find the courage to step outside your house every day with so many rapists about.

The key problem is how the two sexes view responsibility. Men and women alike think of women as blameless angels and treat them accordingly. The same is not true for men. If a guy wakes up next to a really ugly girl. HE blames himself for drinking too much. If a women wakes up next to an ugly guy, she cries rape. You'd be surprised how far that mentality goes. Guy walks down a bad alley and gets mugged and stabbed, it's HIS fault for walking home that way. Guy takes a large amount of drugs, ends up on ship to Russia, gets gangraped by sailors, he sees it as HIS fault for taking the drugs (boy what a weekend that was).
The same bias shows in the media. Female teacher has sex with male student, it's an affair, she "seduces" him. If the genders are reversed the male teacher "rapes" the female student no matter what her feelings.

You're right women don't RAPE (as in forcibly sexually assault men) as much as men - it does happen, usually at gunpoint, but the fact that men are generally stronger than women gives them an advantage here.

For all the other definitions of rape, women definitely do rape men, all the time. The men just don't see it as rape. They blame themselves, see it as a learning experience.

Your privilege is showing.

It’s called “Organised Crime” and this type of stuff happens much more frequently than you can possibly imagine. The ones responsible for recruitment, drugging and having Sex are all connected.

I was introduced to drugs with very clear purpose of sexual exploitation. and Once you have been introduced to hard drugs, I am not sure how easy it is for any woman to stay away from drugs for good especially considering the fact that I was barely an adult with very little knowledge of how drugs work on human minds and human sexuality.

The reason why I had difficulty prosecuting these men is because the Police Station have been paid off or Legal Justice that we like to speak of are completely non-existent for certain women who they deem to be lesser of human beings . and the majority of individuals who have power to make a change are racist and sexist. It’s easier for them to get rid of individuals like myself than trying to prosecute hundreds of men who are responsible for these crimes especially they are greatly benefiting due to the impairment of these women. Why would they want to prosecute themselves when the only way they could ever make the huge profit they make and fulfil their lust is through an exploitation of these women?

and I don’t care what you say but I think it is an absolutely rape if she engages in random guys for sexual encounter in her drug induced mind due to her addiction to sex, chemical and brain-damage.

The rape law in most countries clearly include having an intercourse with women with psychological issues. Having unhealthy addiction to sex due to brain-damage should certainly be part of these psychological issues. It clearly is a taking advantage of someone’s impairment. Even if you are used to having sex with women with psychological issues or chemical dependency, it’s time where we change our current regimes and consider prosecuting these men for their deeds for once.
If it makes you feel good “taking advantage of such a woman” because everybody operate on different moral grounds, then you should do it.

Because if I was man doing that to a young women in such a financial and psychological difficulty, I would not be able to live with myself even if I prayed to Jesus Christ for all my deeds hundreds of times.
and If you actually cared to seek the information of how women end up in circumstances as such, you would feel much more sympathetic not to take advantage of the circumstances. But not all women in sex industry are in the type of coercion I speak of.

I personally think that men should take care of the women for her rest of her life if he engages himself sexually to her. Getting sexual services or actually having an intercourse is different. So I believe if men is not sure about dedicating his life for the particular women, He should not be having sex with such a woman period. He could get other similar sensual services but I think he should be responsible for majority of her life if he has sex with such a woman.

Why is it that same woman gets raped over and over? I don’t know I think it’s because everybody is turning blind eyes to the crimes like you are doing right now at this exact moment. Because we as human beings are destructive people who do not mind seeing certain women being exploited and destroyed?

If she is behaving sexually and seductively due to her chemical dependency, obviously she’s not right in her head.
as I have said again, it’s moral judgement of men to decide it would be okay to have sex with such a woman in vulnerable psychological state. I believe it should be clear to most psychologically rational men who could easily make an instant psychological evaluation of human beings whether or not to engage in intercourse with such a person. Because person like that to me is physically and mentally sick person who needs a medical treatment instead of another gang-bangs.

What should happen in civilised countries where Policemen can be trusted upon and relied upon? these men who have attempted to kidnap me, responsible for drugging me for extensive period of time and abusing me sexually should all pay for their crimes and their deeds should be monitored and evaluated.

This is called Human trafficking. if you care enough about the rights of these women, perhaps you should get involved to change our current legal system in your country and my country, so that women like myself does not have to experience these types of crimes in her life time.

So you don't consider a female teacher having sex with a 11 to 12 year old boy to be rape?

Are you saying little boys want to have sex and so it doesn't classify as rape?
