It usually involves making patently ridiculous over the top racist statements as a way of mocking actual racists, but like said, it's a high risk strategy.

Over here it usually involves cracking the same jokes as old-school comedians (like Bernard Manning) but being a young person with a cool haircut and an obscure taste in beer whilst doing it. A sort of 'I can't be racist, I read the Guardian' type of thing - but racism over here is seen as something working class people do, so hipster think they're exempt from it.

There are some good P-word jokes out there, but most of them are just offensive and not very good. Scouser jokes fare better, but they run along the same theme with the same punchline. I like a good Irish joke, but even they get a bit dull after a while. Same with Polish jokes and black jokes.

I liked Bernard Manning.

By the way - I just wanted you to know that I have lost a ton of weight. You won't recognise me if you see me.

Where have you been Tequila? Welcome back! I was wondering where you were!

Black guy with a parrot on his shoulder walks into a pub.

Landlord says, 'where do you get him from?'

Parrot says, 'I found him dancing on Bernard Manning's grave.'

Busy inciting hatred against Bulgarians and Romanians, mostly. ;)

I won't be here long. Presently, I have to go out to a public meeting. I have a vacation in a few weeks - to thomas81's patch. I have an acquaintance or two to see whilst over that way. :)

In my eyes, everyone is racist.

It's more a question of how honest you are with yourself about it and how much is colors (no pun intended) your perception of others.

While one should always be honest with oneself, even concerning something as ugly as racism, one still has the responsibility not to give in to those personal prejudices, and to be the utmost polite to everyone.

Reminds me of that line from Austin Powers: Goldmember, in which Michael Cain says something like: "I hate injustice, racism, and the Dutch."
