They're politicians first, and libertarians probably not even second. They want to be elected, and preaching government control of wombs is key to getting elected, along with bashing government oversight of other things that the government shouldn't attempt to regulate, like the economy, the environment, education, etc.

I think those three are committed to the cause. They go beyond lip service. Ryan was buddy-buddy with Akin.

They are not real libertarians. They pretend to be libertarians but they are Statists and want to control what people do with their own time, their own energy and their own bodies.

If someone claims to be a libertarian the firs thing I inquire about is his attitude toward suicide.
