Plato (strict rationalists): 77%
Aristotle: 33%
Early Wittgenstein / Positivists: 23%
Immanuel Kant: 19%
W.v.O. Quine / Late Wittgenstein: 0%
Nietzsche: 0%
Sartre/Camus (late existentialists): 0%

One of the most pointless "quizzes" (as if a meager and exiguous ten out of multifarious responses is reliable) that measures one's philosophical perception I have ever taken in my life.

Which philosopher are you?
Your Result: Aristotle - 81%

Truth does not exist in some transcendent realm. We get to truth by applying reason to the physical world. The world follows logic and commonsense. Science, if done properly, is not too far from philosophy. --This quiz was made by S. A-Lerer.

59% - Early Wittgenstein / Positivists
58% - Immanuel Kant
41% - Plato (strict rationalists)
39% - Sartre/Camus (late existentialists)
27% - Nietzsche
19% - W.v.O. Quine / Late Wittgenstein

Sartre at the top......88%. Kant at the bottom: 0%.

Even though I really don't believe the world is "absurd." I'm not an existentialist at all. I'm very much an empiricist. I like some of Kant's ideas.

Your Result: Early Wittgenstein / Positivists

The ambiguity of language is the cause for most (if not all) philosophical problems. If we could get a purely objective language all philosophical problems would be solved. Q.E.D. --This quiz was made by S. A-Lerer.

There is a transcendent, absolute truth. We can get to this truth by pure reason, in the form of dialectic. Everyone wants truth. Truth is virtue, is happiness. Your philosophy might boil down to: You are right and those who disagree with you are wrong. (Note that there are many different conflicting interpretations of Plato's writings.) --This quiz was made by S. A-Lerer.

Which ancient philosopher do you think like?
Your Result: Buddha
77%

AKA: Gautama Siddhartha. Indian philosopher and the founder of Buddhism. Lived from 563-483 B.C. One day in 533, he encountered an aged man, a sick man, and a corpse, and he suddenly realized that suffering is the common lot of mankind. He then met a monk and determined to adopt his way of life and forsake family and wealth in the quest for truth. He later found a better way as he meditated under a bo tree until he experienced the Great Enlightenment, which revealed the way of salvation from suffering. He traveled, taught, gathered followers, and established monastic communities. According to Buddha: -The ultimate goal and happiness is Nirvana, a state of enlightenment free from suffering. -Meditation and scientific methods are ways to learn. -In life, seek the middle way – neither excessive self-denial or indulgence. -Each person should fulfill his duties to make a good society. -The gods are worse off than humans. -There is no soul.

I was very surprised by this, because my ideology aligns with Plato and Kant.

I suppose my autism relates to existentialism.

I've never liked Aristotle, so that was funny.
