I am not interested in your in-depth psychological babble and labelling.

Let's get to the topic at hand or ends this foolishness shall we.

Then I'll squeeze it down to one:

You're a poser.

For you unwillingness to give examples of what you classify as 'real' or 'unreal' I'll have to assume you mean them about as coherently as an evangelical Christian would mean 'Christian' vs. 'devil worshiper'. Chunking things into loaded and/or broken categories and using otherwise valid categories in broken ways is a trick that religious and political zealots use to distort reality and prevent rebuttal.

I think I have every right to ask these questions because I'm not the one preaching to people on what to believe or not believe, nor am I trying to pass myself off as a gnostic Christian and speak for history or a community. If you take up those titles you take up the title of gnostic Christian, especially a bishop, we have to right to grill you on your facts. Similarly if you want to be the arbiter of what's real and not real and further won't even tell us what's in what category we have every right to grill you on that as well.

La la la.

If you are too stupid to know what is real or not without a list from me then that is your problem.

Regards
DL

One other thing I'll say.

If it's common consensus that it's perfectly appropriate to make up anything, say anything you want, call yourself anything, and even evangelize on it, wow.... that reminds me of something else that's going on right now on liberal arts campuses..., does this belong in PPR or does it belong in Arts, Writing, and Music as poetry? I'm not suggesting that I'd force the issue, just that religion has historical documents and procedures, philosophy has lineage, politics in a lot of ways is an extension of philosophy. Pure BS is sort of it's own category and poetry's the closest thing I can think of to fitting it.

I might not always respond to them, but I do read them and see little need to chime in with the only remark I could make is "ditto."

Thanks for this.

How would you describe a Gnostic Christian and his ideology?

Not me please as I am likely seen as a mental bully due to feeling I have a duty not only to promote the Gnostic Christian ideology but also to actively fight those ideologies, like Christianity's, that I find immoral.

Ancient Gnostic Christians named Yahweh a vile demiurge for a reason and I follow their tradition and opinion.

The gnostic Supreme Being was described by Jesus as "a Spirit." I take this to mean that, like all fallable beings, a demiurge falls short of the Spirit's described intent, ideas, concepts and precepts. Those humans who created and create various ideologies, especially those which are immoral, could be described as parts of the demiurge. But, distinguishing morality and immorality is an solitary venture. I understand that some ancient gnostic Christians were so dualistic in their ideas that, in the context of a Supreme Being who didn't create a demiurge and its constituents, they saw the Supreme Being peddling slowly (or not at all) in the development of good when the demiurge constituents are seemingly left to their own devices against all the bad in the world. That would cause much concern and anger. I am, in my better moments, less dualistic than some ancient gnostic Christians. But, I see a need to create a better, personal relationship and understanding of the gnostic Supreme Being.

Indeed. By a long shot given that he can use genocide and have his own son needlessly murdered to forgive us instead of just forgiving us.

True as Yahweh only exists in the minds of believers who do not seem to care that he is a genocidal God. They, in a sense, are the evil propagators of adoration of a vile God.

Indeed as all moral positions are subjective and not objective.

True, while saying they are all sinners that must do as bid by their genocidal God if they want to be saved. If evil, which we think he is, it is like saying they have to follow Satan. Not that she exists any more than any supernatural entity.

Possibly enough anger to have then use the violence they used to grow Christianity instead of good life affirming arguments and moral tenets.

Where do you seek knowledge of that Gnostic Christian supreme being? Through Gnosis?

What do you mean by dualistic? Some see Yin and Yang as opposites while I see them as complimentary to each other. Not like black and white or opposites but more like front and back.

We are quite naturalistic in our thinking.

Take evolution and it's competition and cooperation.
In reality, we see a lot more cooperation in the world than competition.
If there were around the equal of those two aspects of evolution, I think things would be a lot worse in the world than there is. I see a lot more good cooperation in us than competition.

As best as I can, yes. But, I admit to be new to gnosticism.

We are all new to Gnosticism and Gnostic Christianity my fiend.

Most of the world is new to free thinking as we have been a world where sheepleness has been forced upon us by immoral religions and governments. That epoch, thankfully, has ended.
