Well, he moved the US embasy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. I am not saying whether its good or bad (thats a different question) but this is an example where he has done something rather than just talk.

As far as building the wall, he was "trying" to "do" something with it too -- but he was stopped every time. So its not about him being "just a talker" but rather about the rest of the government stopping him.

Well, reopening the country doesn't sound very authoritarian. An authoritarian person would be the one to keep the country closed for as long as possible, just to show his power.

Now, you might say that it is a terrible decision, which is probably true. But just the fact that decision is bad, doesn't mean that it is authoritarian. There are plenty of ways of making a bad decision without being authoritarian.

The only aspect where it "is" authoritarian, would be authoritarian over the state governors. But that is a rather specific form of being authoritarian. Its like giving "more" freedom to people at the expense of giving "less" freedom to state governors. Once again, too much freedom might be a bad thing, but don't misuse the name on how you call it.

Be skeptical on the use of the words "always", "never", "all", "none", "every", etc. when referring to the actions of a person. Not possible.

Why would one feel that building a wall, and making Mexico pay for it is a good thing?

Why would one think that moving the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem is a good thing.

Hitler “did things,” and “put his money where his mouth was”— but it would have been better had he did nothing, and kept his mouth shut.

I didn't say it was good (and I am not saying its bad either). I simply noticed that someone said "he doesn't do anything other than talk" -- and I see that this statement is "factually" not true (regardless of whether its good or bad). So I pointed it out.

Trumpty Dumpty is only concerned about 2 items:

1. How much “wealth” he can acquire

And

2. Who he can f!ck over and bamboozle in order to obtain said “wealth”

In short: he’s just as bad as any other politician (with the possible exception of Eisenhower and Teddy Roosevelt) over the last 150 years.

Yes, it is all about enhancing his wealth. The lines between me and you are quite clear when he does stuff.

Who cares? He's an idiot and I hope the US has the good sense to wave goodbye to him at the end of the year.

It seems like the Democrats are dedicated to undermining their chances of winning.

Right now America's best hope is that Trump and Biden both catch coronavirus, are briefly mourned and both parties have to come up with new candidates.

If, for whatever reason, both parties had to come up with the 2nd choice for Pres, who would it actually be on the Reps side?

Trump was probably "liberal" in that he didn't really care about what others were doing and was willing to support "live and let live" policies (like pro-choice) as long as it didn't interfere with him. He's probably also prejudiced, he's white and wealthy and never had to think about people who weren't.

That said, Trump's political alignment is that he wants power, fame, and money. He'll probably say or do anything to make that happen. (But honestly, given all the s**t the GOP in the House and Senate let him get away with, that's standard federal-level Republican behavior.)
