Witch hunting is never good, even if there are actual "witches" out there.
Playing some cooperative-with-a-traitor board games, you can find out that in an atmosphere of cooperation and openness, the traitor can do very little without revealing themself. In an atmosphere of suspicion and accusations, the traitor can do much more damage and go undetected.
Try it with Battlestar Galactica Board Game, or any other one with similar mechanics. It's a very informative experience.
