*2012, Peak Oil, and Prospects for the Autism Spectrum*
Another reason why Peak Oil might spell improvements for AS.
If transporting food for thousands of miles becomes prohibitively expensive and people start growing fruit, vegetables, keeping hens and goats etc, the diversity and individuality of local and regional products will once again be appreciated, valued, ( and not just as a tourist attraction ).
There will be less standardisation, homogenisation, less comparison with the American/white model/version. And I think this would be good for neurodiversity, and for AS.
A permaculture approach to neurological difference.

Let's see. We are about to be forced on a diet of nuts and berries and you are celebrating?
I prefer lamb and fish myself.

Who said anything about nuts and berries, though hazelnut cookies, almond macaroons, blackberry jam, raspberries, redcurrants, elderberry wine, pistachios, pecan nuts, wild strawberries, etc are absolutely delicious.
I like goats cheese, lamb, trout, olives, free range duck, and hen's eggs, ( from organic farms ), grapes, cherries, tapenade, ( olive paté ), aswell as many other local produce.
