Hi, new Aspie user, and a Buddhist in the Tibetan traditions for the last 25 years.

Welcome to WP. :D

There are one or two on here with Buddhist inclinations.

Thanks:) What tradition do you follow yourself?

I find my own way; but my inclinations very much resemble Zen with a touch of Advaita Vedanta. To follow Zen is to miss Zen - if you see what I'm getting at. I first discovered Buddhism thirty years ago - I picked up a book in the college library, just browsing, and it was the teachings of Buddha. The book absolutely flawed me because it mirrored my own thoughts and feelings at the time; so of course I delved deeper. Eventually I became a monk; but after a year didn't find what I was looking for so left and did a degree in Physics. I've been searching ever since, though after thirty years and much more reading, meditation and pondering there is a "clarity" now that was absent all those years ago. More contemporary influences include the late Jiddu Krishnamuti. His teachings are excellent for giving the mind and belief systems an enema!

I tend to play the part of an atheist on this forum, but that is a gross oversimplification of my views. Nor am I agnostic and I am very much NOT a believer. I've spent thirty years discarding erroneous beliefs in search of the "truth"!

Why did you pick the Tibetan tradition, if you don't mind me asking?
