Correction: The GF herself said she was not sure whose voice that was. Big, BIG difference.

She testified it was Trayvon in court. When they pointed out in the deposition statement she said she couldnt be totally sure but that it sounded like Trayon's voice to her.

She clearly did not repeat Zimmerman's claims. That's just crazy talk. In her account Martin is pursued again and again.

Let me bold it for you.

Take into consideration as well she also claims T's phone fell on the ground (or his headset whatever it was) and she heard both the 'get off get off' and 'help' parts.

In the 'get off' she says in the deposition statement she cant be sure then in court she states it is. Later on, she says she cant be sure if it is T or Z saying 'help' because both have the same baby voice.

This is a witness that cannot confirm identity. Hence, you have reasonable doubt for this particular claim. Independently, Z claims it was him calling for help as per what he told police the day it happened (her deposition was taken before Z's version of events came out in the media).

Again, look at the factual evidence. Z's story is corroborated almost word by word in the initial exchange in his version and in the GF's version. A witness said he saw one man on top of another before the shooting calling for help...and the gunshot comes in at a below-to-above angle and not made at point blank range (gunpowder residue evidence showed the gun was a few inches from the chest) which is an almost impossible thing to do if you're on top of someone's belly and trying to put a round in that angle (he wouldve had to shoot from his crotch...while on top... while somehow getting injuries in the back of his head and face... you get the idea how implausible this all is if you still claim he was on top and it was T calling for help).

A) That's your statement. She clearly says Trayvon has a baby voice sometimes and that it sounded like him in the deposition but she couldnt be totally sure. In court she says it's T. I can't find anything where she characterizes or compares Z's voice as you have.

B) Z's story is that he lost interest in pursuing Martin and was leaving. Martin's gf has Z pursuing Martin again and again. Martin even being surprised by Z's reappearance and that the man (Z) was breathing hard. Very different accounts of Z's behavior.

Whatever Zimmerman did if anything at all to provoke that beating, Trayvon went way beyond just defending himself. It's not a slippery slope, I honestly want to know at what point would Zimmerman be justified in defending himself EVEN if he did provoke the beating? The physical evidence and the eyewitness reports do not contradict Zimmerman's story.

If two a**holes get into a fight at a bar, and one kills the other with his fists, that guy is guilty of murder even if the other guy started it; they're both guilty of assault and battery, unless one tried to run away (as Trayvon did) and was cornered.

As for your question as for how little danger justifies shooting someone, it's really something that should be considered on a case by case basis. I don't believe it's something you can have a one size fits all type enforcement of. You have to be within reason and a slap or grabbing someones collar in of its self wouldn't cause somebody to fear for their life but the context of the situation may be more complex. Just hypothetically, lets say you have an abusive ex that shows your house drunk that has threatened to kill you multiple times in the past and starts accosting you in front of your children. You can't expect someone to be brutalized or seriously injured before defending themselves with deadly force, that's an unrealistic standard to have in my opinion but the fear needs be with in reason.

Z's version states T was on top punching him and up to the point where he had to shoot him. Forensic and medical evidence lends credibility to this as Z's injuries on the back of the head and face match the description (plus his blood and hair on the pavement) and the bullet angle matches a shot from below-to-above. When police arrived Z was on top of T and T was on his back. Z was restraining T's arms to each side.

For the record, I'm not the one saying that the injury was faked; I'm the one saying that it wasn't as serious as Z claims that it was. He doesn't look like someone who's been banged into the ground '25 times.'

Here we go again. The premeditated, perfectly executed evil plan isn't it?

By your standards, I'd have been justified in murdering my brother several times over, not to mention a couple of other school kids.

He was not visibly armed. Have ever even seen a weapon holster? They're not the hip-slung ones from the cowboy movies you know. Hint: 'concealed'.

Either Trayvon saw the gun and reached for it, in which case the gun was "visible," or Trayvon did not see the gun because it was concealed. The two situations are mutually exclusive. Z says that Trayvon saw the gun, hence Z says that the gun was "visible" to Martin.

Quote:
We know for a FACT Z was not wielding the weapon when T confronted him. The GF and Z's version both say T confronted Z and Z replied. Hardly the conversation you have if one party has a gun visible in any way.

No, we don't know that for a "fact," merely that it probably wasn't out while M was still on the phone. People have conversations with guns out all the time, albeit not friendly, calm ones.

Quote:
Also..if martin 'feared for his life' why did he remain on location for the 2 minutes it took Z to talk to the police dispatch? All the facts point to T returning to the alley to confront Z.

Did you miss the part Where Z was following M and then says, 'He's running... Effing punks, they always get away.'

One of which shot the other. That ranks a little higher on the board than 'bad decision' level.

He did not start it. How many times do I need to point to the testimony of the GF (which MATCHES Z's version independently..almost word by word) shows T confronted Z?

"Why are you following me," is not a confrontation. It's a kid who tried to run home and then was caught by a strange, armed man who had been stalking him in the night.

Quote:
Who started the fight is what is not known.

Because Z shot Martin.

Quote:
However the lack of ANY injury to T's body aside from bullet wound and scraped knuckles strongly indicates T not only started it but dominated that fight.

Except that Martin saw the gun. Whether he saw it before Z pulled it, or after (andfrom Z's own testimony he DID see it at some point), it would have given him reason to fear for his life when confronted in the dark by a complete stranger.

Well, taking into account that he needed just one minute and getting down the street to reach his girlfriend's house, but after three-four minutes he was behind the buildings, only 50 metters far from the point whe he started to run away... to be honest, T was not very skilled running away.

With the speed... how long did he need to reach the bus stop every morning, five hours?

If he thought that Z was still in the car, he might have been trying to hide. Given that he can't speak for himself, because Zimmerman shot him, we'll never know.

Martin was on a f*cking phone right up until things went sideways; if he was so concerned about the "creepy ass cracka'" following him, why didn't he call the cops? This is, of course, on top of him not simply completing his journey to his father's house in the more than ample time he had to do so.

Well, two minutes to finish the calling, but after that it's unlikely that he's magically teletransported to the point where he was beaten.

Unless you want to add teletransport to your theory. No problem with it, dude, this is free planet

Link to that please? Or do you mean T's GF changing her version of events multiple times?

Making the scenario fit your position? Thats just sad. You know perfectly well this is about strangers and on top of that, one getting the jump on the other.

Quote:

They're not exclusive. T did not see the gun when he confronted Z. The gun became visible during the struggle where Z claims he had T on top of him.

T's GF even said that IF T would get into a fight he was very likely to be slamming someone's head into the ground the way he did..its how people where he comes from do things. This was from an interview she gave on TV.

Quote:
Quote:

No, we don't know that for a "fact," merely that it probably wasn't out while M was still on the phone. People have conversations with guns out all the time, albeit not friendly, calm ones.

No, we do know that for a fact. T's GF testified with no doubt that T was on the phone with her and she distinctly heard, word by word matching Z's story, how T initiated contact (verbally) with Z.

... you do not challenge verbally someone who has a gun visible on his person.

Quote:
Did you miss the part Where Z was following M and then says, 'He's running... Effing punks, they always get away.'

Did you miss the fact that when Z was running (wind audio on his recorded 911 call) the dispatcher told him to stop and he did so (no more footsteps or wind on the phone) and then they spoke for TWO MINUTES on the phone?

Two minutes was the time T. had to go from the alley to his dad's house. A distance someone WALKING would cover and have time left over. Yet, somehow, T ends up getting shot at the very entrance to the alley. The distance between Z's car and the alley? 3 houses. You can walk that in less than 15 seconds.

So then.. how did T end up where he got shot? Z's movement can be traced through his 911 call and distance a person can walk/jog. T had a running start of approximately 3 minutes (1 minute from time Z told dispatch 'hes running' and then the 2 minutes Z spent talking to dispatch).

For someone who was allegedly worried he was being followed, T. somehow ended up dead at a location that he should've been able to be far, FAR away from.

Quote:
One of which shot the other. That ranks a little higher on the board than 'bad decision' level.

Thats not a decision, that's a consequence of the bad decisions both took. T chose to return to location AND confront Z ..and Z got out of the car to begin.

Quote:
"Why are you following me," is not a confrontation. It's a kid who tried to run home and then was caught by a strange, armed man who had been stalking him in the night.

Yes it is. He is confronting the person following him. As stated above, he did so when he should have had more than enough time to get home or be far away from there. 'Tried to run home'? Really? Have you even LOOKED at the map of where it happened? My arthritic cane-using grandma would've been farther away in 2 minutes than T. did.

Quote:
Because Z shot Martin.

That only shows who ended it. To assume he started it because he shot him is just absurd.

Quote:
Except that Martin saw the gun. Whether he saw it before Z pulled it, or after (andfrom Z's own testimony he DID see it at some point), it would have given him reason to fear for his life when confronted in the dark by a complete stranger.

Yes.. of course. He was so afraid for his life he confronted the man first... or if he saw it afterwards it was certainly when someone was on top of someone else ('get off') and somehow, most amazingly, managed to beat up his 'attacker' while receiving zero injuries (hand contact) from the person he was 'fighting off' until the very moment he got shot.

We should call this the twilight zone murder.

Quote:
Nobody ever died on 'The A-team.'

Ah, but that's because the A-Team always had time to build their thingamajigs and plan their strategy. Z is the guy that could come up with the plan and execute it as things happened. All by himself. That's why Hannibal never let him go on the missions and steal his bling. ;)

A) Zimmerman wasnt fat when it happened. He gained weight before the trial. The gf says Zimmerman was breathingly heavily. Zimmerman himself says Martin ran away.

B) In the three allegations of ZImmerman assaulting someone in the past the common thread is pushing, grabbing or grappling. He's not a striker apparently.

C) it was established that ZImmerman is a liar. He says he never heard of SYG laws. But he took a course that covered the subject extensively according to his professor, and got an A. Zimmerman says whatever he needs to say.

Still, beyond a reasonable doubt is what it is. That won't help him much in the court of public opinion though.
