I believe in innocent til proven guilty. If there is no reason to suspect guilt, why shouldn't innocence be inferred? Consequently, I have looked at all the arguments against homosexuality and come to a conclusion. There are no arguments against it. Penises aren't supposed to be inserted into anuses? did you design the human anatomy? No, so stop stating it as fact. Is the Bible the word of God? answers of 'yes' are unproven, more often than not unfounded and nobody has even tried presenting proof of God's existence. I personally could tear apart the morality, teleological, ontological and cosmological arguments without batting an eyelid so I don't have any reason to believe a God exists to hand down his word. If God didn't intend for homosexuals, why did he create the capacity for them? He's omnipotent/all powerful so he should have control of this. I'm sure this 'God', being all loving, didn't intend for people to suffer (whether it be for sexuality, race or aspergers. All are factors which are not through choice). Then again, the bible has contradictions by the bucket load - the all loving god who kills all of every species but two, the one who divides the people by language and causes terrible wars, the one who brings plagues upon the innocent to change the mind of a pharoah when just one personal tragedy on the guilty man would have sufficed. Does this sound like an all loving merciful god? I'm an atheist because I se the bible (and material from other holy books that I have read) as bad fiction with plot holes and discrepancies. Not that I view religion as a bad thing, it instills moral fibre, but I cannot see a single reason to believe it other than Pascal's Wager, and even his logic is debatable. I can't accept anyone's argument about God's will as a consequence, as I don't believe there is a god to possess will.

Homosexuality is not a choice. If you could choose between normality and a life of persecution and fear, we'd all choose the same thing. It is inherent, stop stating otherwise like it is fact, science does not necessarily prove put gives extremely strong suggestions that my prior statement is true. I suppose we should hate all difference then. Lets kill all ginger haired people as they are less common. Let's kill all aspies as they are less common. Let's kill all negroids as they are less common. Lets kill all communists as they are SHUT UP. What's the point in killing homosexuals? If it is such a scourge, you shouldn't worry since homosexual couples can't have kids who will be genetically disposed to be gay.

I know I've forgotten many anti-homosexual arguments here, feel free to criticise me and also homosexuals by posting them here. I have aggression and I've run out of other things to tear apart.

i love this it says every thing i think about when people say being gay is wrong man im going to print this out a memorize it for the next argument i have with some one

I've read four or five pages of this thread. I can guess that the other 30 or so won't be much different, so I don't think I'll bother with them. If I want to read eloquent, impassioned religious mumbo-jumbo, there's more than enough of it on other threads anyway.

Yeah, these Christians offer the bible as proof that being gay is wrong but not everyone is christian so it's like they're saying their religions are right and all the others are wrong  How closed minded can you be? I personally see nothing wrong with someone believing in God and that Jesus died to save us for our sins, but I think it's wrong to interfere with the lives of others (aka gays) because of a religion that not everyone believes in.

I believe gayness is a mix-up of the wiring in the brain, a bit like Aspergers or paedophilia. Unlike some deviations it's a consenting act between two adults so i certainly dont think it should be ilegal or anything. Live and let live is what i say. :)

I myself don't beleive in interfering what others people do in their Lives. But We must remember Humans have doing that since the beginning of time, interfering with peoples lives. Society has made that decision what is right and wrong in the end. Changing Society is hard. Most people in the United States don't beleive that people that are gay should not get MARRIED, though when it comes to CIVIL UNIONS they have less of problems with that. That also may not all be Christians in the end either too. It does not matter what We agree or disagree on this it has to come from All that Live in America to change this in the end.

i say being gay is none of my business. I don't agree with it personally but if thats what they do fine. I still believe being gay is far from being NORMAL, I mean being straight is normal, being gay is not normal because after all normal means typical, commonplace. So being homo is not normal it is surely differnent from the norm.

And to the other extreme, if everyone in the world breeded as prolifically as a healthy snowshoe hare, there would be no "Mankind" either. Do you see what I'm getting at here? One could argue that homosexuality is a natural means of population control and therefore a favorable trait to an extent.

Everyone has at least some attractiveness to the same sex.
As much as it disgusts you, at some level you are affected

It's only the majority that makes the norm. If the majority of people in the world had Asperger's Syndrome, they would be considered the norm. Same with gay people. However, I think there is nothing wrong with being gay since gay people are born that way. I don't have to enjoy watching 2 men having sex with each other, but I don't have to be homophobic towards the men doing it either.

There is something wrong with being gay since the female body is designed to take a penis instead of the male body, but I am not homophobic and I don't base my judgements towards another person by their sexuality.

For some reason, as an aspie, I've noticed it's easier for me to socialize with gay men than any other group. Don't know what that is. Went to an Academy Awards party last night with 50 gay men and had a blast. I wouldn't have considered going to a "straight" party with that many people.
So, cheers to gay men!! ! (OMG, am I being sexist??)
