Is being gay wrong?
I'm completely unable to understand homophobia. Why on earth should I care who wants to do what, and with which, and to whom? As long as we are talking about consenting adults, I couldn't care less.
I just don't understand the hate and the repugnance...same-sex relations are no stranger to me than 'straight' sex. None of it is very appealing, IMHO. But, go 'do what thou wilt'.
i don't think there is anything wrong with being gay.
My religion may disagree, but my religion also teaches me not to judge people... ![]()

i don't think that homosexuality is a hereditary trait.
Okay, I know I'm gonna get flamed for this....
From a purely biological perspective, homosexuality is wrong. Okay, so there are hermaphrodite animals, but the vast majority of vertebrates, and in particular, primates, are "straight". I mean, homosexuality is not reproductive (unless you count IVF, adoption, etc), so there is a good evolutionary reason against it, providing we are talking about animals who have different means of evolution than the gene.
However, I myself consider homosexuality to be, while not exactly "normal", to be part of the diversity we need in a society that is evolving faster than genes, and therefore evolving by memes. I'm not saying homosexuals are abnormal, they just are normal people with a different sexual orientation. A homogenous gene set, an overspecialised one, dies, while a diverse one survives. So it must be with society and memes.
Two more things:
1. To all those straight people who promote hate against homosexuals, think about it in the way Michael Moore posited: there will be more girls for the rest of us. (He fails to mention lesbians, but, whatever...)
2. The Rev Fred Phelps should die a horrid death.

i read an artical recently about homosexuality in animals... i forget what its name was and i did not have a chance to make sure its the truth, however. it mentioned some type of monkeys, females prefered eachother over males...
again, i am not sure if it was or was not a made up artical.
sorry not going to vote on this.
but all i can say is i don't like it but i'm getting disensitzed to it
but i can say this too it's real gay relationships that bug me more the character parings that i've found which are just weird.

I would seriously appreciate it. Thank you.
Okay. This is beginning to resemble another thread where they suggest getting rid of segreation by.... seprating ourselves from the opposing group.
Seems to me like you're doing a repeat.
Also, if you don't want to argue, then why start a debate?
I don't particulary care what you are.
****, I'm not really that bothered about what planet you're from, let alone country or your chromosicial/neurologicial/genetic make-up.
However, I am bothered if you choose to use it as an excuse for what is obviously inapporpiate behaviour, regardless of who's doing what with whom.
By this, I mean the legal stuff.
Now, I'm all for people getting the same rights because/or in spite of them being a minority.
What I object to is using the minority status as a 'Free Out of Jail' card and saying that anyone is ________ist purely because it suits you and paying no regard to whether that has anything to do with the situation at hand or not.
So while I agree with:
All races deserve respect. No race is above another.
There are also two other urban dictionary definitions which I feel highlight my point.
If you're a white man, this is what you are. It doesn't even matter if your wife is black and you have an adopted child from India, or how many black friends you have, somehow you're going to end up being a racist according to how the media portrays the white man as "racist whities".
All of this is funny because the white man is the one that is stereotyped as being racist, which is hypocrisy at its best. It's racist to assume that white men are racists.
If you don't get offended by racial insults, then you're apparently racist too, but an actual racist would get offended by it. When you hear a certain word too much (I'm sure we've all heard "cracka" hundreds of times thanks to standup comedy) then you become desensitized to it.
Well, that and the words white people get called sound stupid or non-offending. "cracker" came from cracking whips. Indiana Jones cracked whips too, and he was a badass. "honkey" sounds like some kind of gigantic sandwich, and "white boy" makes you seem like the lone white kid in breakdance movies that stands out amongst the other races and white kids. Most people only really think of rednecks when they think of "white trash" so they don't get offended by it if they're not rednecks.
Statistics guy: It was found out that the majority of blacks in America listen to hip hop---
Overzealous guy: WTF YOU RACIST I HAVE A BLACK FRIEND THAT DOESN'T LISTEN TO HIP HOP
Statistics guy: But I said the majority, meaning not all of th---
Overzealous guy: YEAH WHATEVER HITLER
Please note that I know the following only happens in ceratin cases. I'm just showing you what I object to. When ___ist/___phobic is used in the context of 'racist'
racist
565 up, 327 down
A term usually used by minorities to get out of any situation.
"Sir, I may have to give you a ticket for raping and brutally murdering that nun."
"You f****n' cracka ass racist! It's just because I'm black ain't it? You say that f****n' word like you know what you be talkin' bout! You is ignorant!
The point that you appear to be missing completely is that the rights gay people are seeking are the same ones you already have. The right to not get beat up by roving groups of drunk bigots. The right to not be fired without cause. The right to not get evicted without cause. The right to form a family unit, raise children, and inherit. There are actually three different sets of rights involved here. One is the so-called "protected grounds" which specifies types of discrimination that are illegal. Gay people wouldn't need "protected grounds" coverage if straight people would stop discriminating against them.... The second kind are "equality rights" which say that gays and straights should be entitled to equal treatment. Again, there wouldn't be any need to campaign for equality if it already existed.... These sound like the same thing, but in general terms the "protected grounds" protection applies where gays and straights mix in public or private life, whereas "equality rights" tend to apply where gays interact with government agencies. The difference is that in private life, discrimination is an overt act by one person intending to deny another "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" (or employment, accomodation and freedom of association), whereas with government the discrimination usually occurs when the government creates an exclusive list of beneficiaries and discriminates against gay people by omission. One set of rights requires enforcement by the police agencies, while the other merely requires ammending some documentation. The third kind of right is really not a right, but a recognition that "herd mentality" can lead people to say and do things they wouldn't do if they were alone. Legislation that protects queers from "hate speech" isn't much different from the law that makes it illegal to yell "FIRE!" in a crowded movie theatre. It doesn't say that straight people can't criticise gay people, or vice versa, but says that the aims of society are not served when one bigot with a bullhorn (or web site or newspaper) can gather like-minded people in order to enjoy violent or dehumanizing entertainment at the expense of a minority. I welcome your criticisms (although I wish they were more in the form of argument and less in the form of personal character attacks).
I notice you seem to be perseverating on the topic of finances. Before you used to simply complain that gays earned more money and therefore weren't really members of a victim class. Now you seem to be implying that gays have an undeserved "right to earn more money" that straights don't enjoy. I don't know what the financial rules are like in Australia, but I've never heard of any place where gays have a statutory right to a higher income than their straight peers. Usually it works the other way around, as governments give tax breaks to heterosexual couples that aren't available to same-sex couples. I can think of two reasons why queer people, on average, have more money than straight people:
- They earn more. In a white-collar environment queer people tend to work much harder than everyone else because they know that if their boss ever has to decide who to promote and who to fire, the queers who do the same quality work as everyone else will suffer, but the "super-achievers" may be valuable enough to keep their jobs, get some recognition, and sooner or later get promotions and raises in spite of their sexuality. In a blue-collar environment, the lower paying jobs are particularly unattractive to queer people because that's where the less educated (and therefore less tolerant) straight people end up. No body wants to spend their working life doing manual labour with Bubba and listening to him rant about fags. A lot of gay people I know have opted out of the straight workplace entirely and have started their own businesses. They have a lot of stress in their lives, but entrepreneurs are well rewarded if they have any skill.
- They spend less. Heterosexuals tend to start having children in their early 20's (although that average age is climbing quickly in the last few decades). Children are an incredibly expensive and time-consuming part of a straight adult's life. There are a lot of gay couples who would love to adopt a child and experience the joys and pains and expense of raising kids, but in many countries they are prohobited from doing so. You can only spend so much money on cat and dog stuff (or in my case, bird food). It's worth mentioning that there is absolutely *nothing* preventing straight people from choosing to not raise a family, and thereby retain their income. In fact, the acronym "DINK" (double income, no kids) was created just for those people.
I disagree. You seem to be assuming that sexual preference has something to do with this stuff.
Well, let me tell you something. Altough I am straight, I'm still an aspie.
That means, at least in school,
1.Lots of abuse has been directed at me - in various forms.
2.Lots of aspies have been eivcted/ fired without just cause.
3.I am sure that if I looked through your entire post, I could find numerous examples that were you say homosexuals are striving for the same rights as hetrosexuals, I could replace 'homosexual' with 'aspie' and 'hetrosexual' with 'neurotypicial'
So don't you DARE lay that card down.
Our rulebook is called “The Norwegian Law” and it had a paragraph called the “racism paragraph” that states that is a person yells out racistic or homophobic words or commits violence against someone for their “minority/race/whatever/gayness/autism” they should go to jail.
Of course it happens a lot and not everyone goes to jail for it… But they should obviously.
There is no such thing as ”committing homosexual acts”
No one will get hurt from sex. Someone will get hurt from violence. And someone will most defenately go to jail…
If you don’t have it so easy being straight, maybe its time to try something new…
If you mean that a straight aspie have it just as worse as a gay NT, then you are “in the same boat” should help eachother instead of condemn eachother. I just mean that if a straight aspie has difficulties with relathionships, a gay aspie would have it super-difficult.
If you don’t like “flamboyant” men, does that mean you do not like women either? Very feminine women that is..
I think its time to burn the bible and accept all gay people right now.
I think like a lot of other people, you could do with repeating a term in school. And to be honest, I'm really sorry that I think that.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAgraehejatgejshrjhejrsdjsjkjstrsdkghdjdhdjjjxgjhxfg
i am so sick of this s**t.
Not exactly. However, legalizaton is irrelavent as it is A LOT EASIER to change than people's attidudes. Racism is supposed to be illegal. Disablity discrimnation is also supposed to be illegal. However, people get away with both. The former is being used increasingly as a 'get out of jail' card. Altough my entire existence has never been called a sin outright , for all the various abuse that has been directed at me and is directed at me because of my differences- they may as well have said that. Now, the ONLY REASON bullying ISN'T called abuse is because adults are too **** chicken to admit that **** goes on.
Not to mention too **** chicken to call a spade a ******* spade.
