It isn't a "mistake." I think it's a natural genetic variation that adds participating individuals to a community without burdening it with additional offspring in the next generation. Translates into improved quality of life for everyone.

If there should be any labels pertaining to "right" and "wrong" at all then they should be directed at the reality at hand, correct? Well, if we look around we see the world is more over populated than under populated, and also: there are artificial inseminations available.
The people who are today obsolete and unnecessary from a strictly biological point of view are straight people. How do you like those news you f*****g piece of s**t, bigot minded asswipes? :)
The last comment goes out to all the people I love to hate: xenophobes. We don't need you on our planet. Get the f**k off! Shoot yourselves! You're cannon fodder anyway. Die and don't rest in peace. If this seemingly obscene statement is offending you that's because it should be and that's only because you're offending me. There is a term for this: what goes around comes around. Thusly, I'm not flaming anyone who shouldn't be flamed and wash my hands with that fact.

But anyway, it's a natural selection instinct to choose not to partake in the further development of something you know have gone horribly wrong. Look at it this way:
More and more people realize it and seem from the perspective of the degenerate, prejudiced majority to be "coming out of the closet". I think we took a wrong turn somewhere. I don't like war, famine and AIDS nor global warming either for that matter. So yeah, I would say it's "natural" to choose being gay in that kind of society. If you're of the opposite opinion it might be wise to ask yourself if that isn't simply because you've neglected to realize the difference between the two majorly different concepts "normal" and "natural". The difference between them usually grows larger with the madness of society, because madness is an effect of ignoring the truth.

If you think it's "wrong" to be gay, think about this: what group is generally most violent, bigot minded, unable to think outside the box, have most to do with primate behaviour, and from a strictly sanitary perspective are the filthiest damn beasts in the face of humanity? Hint: not us astraight people, that's for sure.
I always love to compare this pathetic debate (the only reason it exists is pathetic people's ignorance/inability of acceptance) to that of drug policy: people drink alcohol even though they know it's a filthy and disgusting poison, but hey! at least it's normal dammit! The same kind of idiots also like bashing people smoking weed. Let's look at the statistics, shall we: (here's the part I love the most; brace yourselves:) the Swedish government has a monopoly on the sales of strong liquor, a merchandise for which they add an 80% tax, all of which naturally goes directly into the government. But the government, due to the use of this merchandise only, have more expenses due to medical care than they receive from this seemingly superbly lucrative business. And Swedes continue to drink this filth. The only answer: it's normal. Normal has NOTHING to do with "good", "functioning", "positive" or any other label you wish to set on whatever isn't pathological.
Now compare these debates. The same arguments, so horrifyingly obviously WRONG!! ! they melt on the tongue and come out in piles of s**t littering the atmosphere in both of them. Idiots against the grain of the universe. Thankfully the universe will win. You lose f*****s! Kill youselves today and save us your sorry existence. You're completely pointless. We should legislate being straight just to show you that the same rules apply to everyone, because no one has any right whatsoever to tell anyone else what's "right" or "wrong". That's just ridiculous. If you don't see that from this thorough post, please consult specialist help, because chances are you might be seriously ret*d. :-/

41 pages on something this silly? O.o

who cares what anyone thinks about homosexuality. i think guy on guy action is disgusting, and i sure would not want to see this. so? who cares? what does it matter how i think about this? or anyone else? its all about what you want for yourself.

i really do like seeing girls on girls though....but there shouldnt be to many lesbians, cause it leaves less straight females for us straight guys.

anyhow, whats much more the actual thing to debate here is some peoples (read: fukups) intolerence to such things.

ow and teh only real thing i do wish to say about it, is that homosexuality, or even worse, homophilia, are outdated terms that just dont suffice. i say we stop using primarily these terms, but use androsexuality and gynesexuality instead. cause that is what you actually try to say.

I wouldn't call it "silly" when people are getting killed over it every day. It's serious business. =(

Are you one of those people who think news agencies are omniscient entities that always get the scoop on every murder right when it happens? Or do you think my use of hyperbole somehow completely invalidates my point? Even if it happens "only" every other day, or every three days, is it not yet, as I called it, "serious business?" If murder is committed even once every century, is that not too much? Exactly what ground have you gained by challenging my admittedly lofty statement that homophobic murder is an everyday occurrence?

No, I'm one of those people that look to logic inan argument and who thinks that grossly exagerated emotive statements with no evidence to support them is wrong.

41 pages of this is silly.

Its just conversation, even 1000 pages isn't too much in my opinion!

Hmmn, anyone heard of the sexuality spectrum?

How bout we're not "gay" or "straight" or "bi"

What if we all fit somewhere on the spectrum with very few of us being exclusively 100% straight and very few being 100% bi, with just as few being right in the middle?

It's not really silly. There's 101 pages on cheese somewhere.

So you think it's silly to talk about it because it doesn't happen every single day? I know you didn't say that, but you didn't deny it either. I can tell you're trying to avoid giving me a direct answer and for someone who seems to value Vulcan logic, that's... actually kinda dishonest.

Poofs are not the only people to get murdered. Its wrong, but 41 pages on this topis is silly and I'm not going to reply again because its not important to me.

You just made Alan Turing cry. ;_;

Anyway, I don't know about the United Kingdom (assuming you're UK'ian because you said "poofs"), but here in the states if we feel there's a minority being oppressed, it's kind of a big deal. And right now, gays are an oppressed minority.

people do not get murdered for being gay. they get killed for their religion, for supporting the wrong team, for not complying to antisocial arrogance fed by groupmentallity.

gays only get thrown out and disinherited.

and i also said its a better subject to discuss homophobia or intolerence. how people think about other people being gay has hardly any significance. why people discriminate against homosexuals is much more significant and to the point.

BS

matthew sheppard was not an isolated incident. and even if so, what about suicide rates from all the harassment and trash talking from religion? what if they want to believe in a judeo-christian god but are gay? obviously can't be both...and unlike religion...sexuality isn't a choice.
