they're ex-elite soldiers, and were trying to create a security company... in uganda

so yes. you can tell. theyre the type.
also on the news they were _smirking_ all the time, about their impending death penalty, their murder charges etc. it was a highly suspicious attitude, and the norwegian gvt also picked up on it, and has done nothing to get them out.
(plus theres a photo of the dark haired guy smiling happily as he wipes blood from their car)

Well, by any scientific measure, when a thread dies, it really is dead. But it would be totally awesome it there was an afterlife for the thread. I mean, what if?

I personally believe that God bumps the thread, because it can't just go away. Never mind that it never existed a very long time before the OP started it.

Of course, it's the Alpha and Omega and Ypsilon and whatever, so it lasts forever! Right...?

I'd continue to live after i die using such methods, but i highly doubt it will ever become possible. So i'll just have to wait and see what happens when i die. =/ It should be quite interesting.

I know the thread is pretty much gone but you raise an important question with what I highlighted. What happens when after you die?
I find it hard to belive that we have an immateral sou that will live on after death. It may be a depressing way to see it, but I think our soul is made by the complex reactions and chemistry of our brains.

The only reason we even try to enjoy life is because of evolution. Individuals who found a reason to live was much more probable to survive than thoose who didn't and hence most people today likes to be alive.

I am not afraid of death, but if it was up to me to choose I would like to never die of old age, and simply live until a comet hits earth and then find out what happens in the afterlife. I would not, ofcourse, want to live forever. What if an accident would happen and my body was to become destroyed (wich is only a matter of time ofcourse)? I would not like to live eternity with nothing to do other than hearing my own thoughts and not be able to experience anything.
Maybe I am derailing this whole thing. My simple answer is I do not belive in an afterlife. Even if there is an afterlife, I wouldn't be excluded from it just because I wouldn't belive in it.

But you might be onto something. We have a finite (but large) mental capacity. If we lived forever (short of physical destruction by chance) we would have to forget some of our past to make room for new stuff. On top of that, boredom might sight in a living on and on and on might become tedious and even painful. My guess is that I can put up with living in good health for a thousand years, but not for a million years.

On the other hand, it is well that we die sooner or later to make room for something new and different.

most times the thought of dying throws me into a panic attack, very rarely are the blinders lifted off me and death doesnt frighten me asmuch so i have changing answers for what i think will happen after dying

what is dying really is my question, i believe life is just one of the many experiences before the beyond and possibility
