Competition? Especially female homosexuality?

It's not a phenomenon I've observed. Unless you feel that way yourself?

Social norms is the only reason. Everything else is just a cover up for the protection of said social norms.

Not especially but some men might feel threatened by women chasing women as well as most men doing it. That could be insecurity though. Having said that, if you had a bisexual partner it would make some good conversations as you would both like women. ;)

I do enjoy girl-on-girl porn. I really don't care for the man-on-man stuff.

It would be disappointing if more women were lesbians but if more men were gay then that means more p**** for me

I have no problem with homosexuality, but I would think the reason many people do is because they associate it with pedophilia (especially in wake of the Catholic sex abuse scandal). The overwhelming majority of LGBT people are not pedophiles.

(Ironically, Leviticus 18:22 is why many people have problems with Christianity, even though most Christians are way more tolerant than they are given credit for)

From a public health perspective, your analysis is a little bit off.

What percentage of gay men engage in anal intercourse? How many of them do so without condoms?

Meanwhile, what percentage of heterosexuals engage in vaginal intercourse? How many of them do so without condoms?

While anal intercourse may provide more effective vectors for the transmission of pathogens (and it is the person being pentrated who is at greater risk, not the person penetrating), vaginal intercourse still provides many very effective vectors for transmission as well. And while anal intercourse is a minority activity among homosexuals, (and barebacking even moreso), vaginal intercourse is much more frequently undertaken by heterosexuals, with a much lower use of condoms.

So if we want to talk unsanitary, let's talk about all that heterosex that's passing chlamydia, HPV, HepB and C, HIV not to mention our old friends syphillis and gonorrhea and the host of ofther STI's out there.

I thought that homosexual men primarily boned each other up the bum. In what activities do they usually engage?

Well, there is "eat da poo poo", but I think that heterosexuals are similarly capable.

How is it more unsanitary than the equivalent act between heterosexuals? :?

Maybe I don't wanna know that...

a) Condoms.
b) There are other ways for homosexual sex, you know...

I don't really have any idea why they do the most or in what percentage they do each thing. But you can for instance go oral or handjobs or both.

Edited my post, but here's more (and better informed than me, I don't even know much about heterosexual sex to begin with):

My choice is "all of the above" but it wasn't an option in the poll. Though I think the weakest of those reasons is the whole "cannot produce children". Knowing the "be fruitful and multiply" verse from the Bible, I always saw that verse more as mere words of encouragement but some people are using this argument to death that they make it sound like it's the 11th commandment or something...that if you don't produce tons children and overpopulate the earth, you'll go to hell for sure.

As for the Bible, I don't really think God hates homosexuals. The Bible says God hates homosexuality. He also hates sin. Sin is why He sent his only Son to die for our sins; proof that he doesn't hate sinners. Some of us are homosexual. How could any good and loving Father hate His child because of who they choose to love? I think the homo-phobes have it wrong and are using God and the Bible in a sick, perverted way.

For God the Creator to hate homosexuality is logical. Homosexual unions don't reproduce. Civilizations have fallen. Entire tribes of people have un-reproduced themselves out of existence. God really wanted the Jews to survive.

TODAY, the whole "cannot produce children" thing might seem as silly as owning slaves, but it is a valid choice. Artificial insemination wasn't heard of until the 1970's.

As for concern about men and not so much for lesbians, perhaps it has something to do with fathering children. Since women can't get each other pregnant, who cares?

If God really wanted the Jews to survive, we wouldn't have gotten Hitler (sorry but it had to be said). I just don't think the lack of reproduction is the cause of certain populations decreasing but rather wars and genocide. Lack of populating is only secondary to having your whole tribe killed by another.

30 years later, and he is still making a living off the same joke, but slightly updated

Have you heard of Roy "Chubby" Brown pandabear? If you're British, you'll understand the reference - i.e. he's been living off variations of the same joke for 30 years too. I saw a TV documentary on him once - he came across as quite a bitter man. I don't like him although his music routines are vaguely amusing sometimes.
