What is it about your Germanic ancestry that you find so compelling. Your ancestry and mine are accidental and we have nothing whatsoever to do with it. We do not and cannot choose our ancestor. However we do have something to say about some of our future actions and choices.

That was kind of a cool test. I would only say that if they didn't wanted people to dismiss any preconceptions about the characters, they shouldn't have used such recognizable ones, but should have created totally new ones.

Little John, respected Marion and helped her doing her time of need.

The Sheriff, to me was never a bad guy. He's just a dude that is tyring to do his job which includes putting people in prison. Now the whole having his way with Marion is not cool, but the man was doing his job.

Marion, is...if I were a woman and I was not I would not have had sex with the Sheriff no matter the price of freedom. It doesn't seem the most appropriate action.

Robin Hood, is a dick. As simple as that.

What I should have mentioned before is, I had been interested in my ancestry back in my junior high days. This spawned what has become an Aspie obsession for me.
And sure, I am well aware that my pagan Germanic ancestry were the very "antithesis" of Christian goodness. That doesn't mean that they still can't capture one's imagination. Especially since these "brutes" were probably the freest people in the known world, had a primitive form of democracy, treated their women much better than more advanced civilizations, were dementedly brave, and had successfully liberated themselves from Roman rule - thereby pushing back the Roman imperial border, something no one else had ever done.
