Sounds a lot more like an impulsive act of insanity than the coldly calculated execution of a conspiracy. Thank God this thread actually went 5 pages without either a gun control debate or left/right wing scapegoating.

Yeah! Let's vote for gun control because the left wing is taking over! No?

People with axes to grind are real desperate to blame everything on the other side, even if it isn't anywhere near fitting. Jared Loughter was labelled all sorts of things, from commie to fascist.

Well their goal is to create a terrorist police state with martial law like in Nazi Germany, except for JEWS it's TERRORISM and of course their main goal is to destroy Jerusualum. The Dark Knight Rising is a recently made series of MOVIES even though the name has been around for years. The KNIGHT is referring to the KNIGHTS OF TEMPLAR. The man shot 12 people. the number 12 is an occultist number as in 12/21/12 the day of singularity, or disconnection, ascension and or dark rising and opening of the underworld. Soon the catholic priest will be heavily involved in politics. This is all to stop people from leaving their houses, and so they can begin sending out more police, and the military, and to take away the means of citizens to defend themselves from the military when they "act out of line" or more appropriately display signs of terrorism. But what will be classified as terrorism? Swearing in public? Garage sales? Living off the grid? Speaking about the illuminati? Game over.

Trying hard to niether induldge nor disparage the OP.

That numerology stuff about the Knights templer and the number 12 does not help your case.

Your theory sounds whacky enough without that mystical woo woo stuff.

Lose that.

So you're saying that this mass shooting was staged.
The reason being that it would cause a backlash against automatic assault rifles for civilian use. Which would cause the congress vote to abolish such weapons being in civilian hands.

That would mean what-exactly?

That when the Illumanatti take over and install an Assad type dictator to rule america then we civilian americans wont be able to launch a paramilitary uprising to overthrow him ( like they are now doing in Syria) because we will have been stripped of our assault rifles?

Is that what you are worried about?

Have I got it right?

Unfortunately, I'd have to say that the gunman was definitely suffering from some type of mental delusion. He probably got a point of disparity and needed to affirm his beliefs by doing something completely outrageous. I think there is a bigger monetary power that we should worry about. Alex Jones has been discredited quite a bit, however, some of things he touches upon like the Bilderberg meetings do hold evidence of truth. Members of government, CEOs of media outlets, CEOs of major banks like Goldman Sachs and The World Bank Group, University leaders and so on all meet once a year without providing any transparency as to what happens during these meetings. The only problem with this is the conflict of interest in regards to the funds that are supplied to international government officials, media outlets, etc.... Best way to impress your viewpoint on anyone else is to influence their survival with hefty donations.

Sometimes people look into coincidence way too much and it is sick that people like Alex Jones exploit those who are just in search of truth. I'm sure there are secret societies out there and it cannot be ruled out, however, we probably need to consistently look to the bankers who are funding those who make decisions that will affect the human race. We all know how history has been distorted or truths omitted through our education system and mass communication (the Indians and Pilgrims did hold hands around a dinner table correct? ) thus all we have control over is what we do with our own lives to leave the Earth in a better state than how we found it.

thanks januaryman.

the sad part about it is that all too often such people are simply mocked and harangued. all i see that doing is confirming the belief, on the grounds that they can see through the brainwashing that blinds everyone else to the grand conspiracy. much better, i feel, to try and question elements of the theory presented, or at least strike up dialogue that isn't going to be offensive or demeaning to anyone.

i work in the area of mental health though, so it's a possible that i have a different perspective than many others. it can be incredibly harrowing to see a human being driven to the brink of absolute despair and isolation by this kind of thought pattern being taken to an extreme.

don't get me wrong, in isolation, i can of course see the funny side of some of the more absurd ideas, but looking at the bigger picture and how someone's life can be affected by this, it's not so good.

That's actually a really good way of putting my attitude when confronted by people espousing views that seem racist, xenophobic, sexist, etc, that simply browbeating and insulting them just drives the belief in deeper, where as less judgmental engaging is more likely to be helpful. Persecution and censorship also tend to lend their own credibility to things as well, as it certainly implies that there's something there that "someone" doesn't want being discussed or exposed.

You'll find I tried this approach often with good effect. Unfortunately all that happens then is they create new arguments, or present the same arguments to people they know will respond in a way that confirms their belief or are too ill equipped mentally in the realm of politics, sociology and economics discussion.

i actually generally agree with what you're saying her, dox, although the only difference that i would point out is that racism, xenophobia, sexism etc. by definition are offensive and demeaning, and in extreme circumstances, physically threatening. the conspiracy theorist isn't particularly offensive or imminently dangerous per se except of course in the extreme scenarios.

but yes, i agree that browbeating and mockery generally does nothing other than entrench views. and i acknowledge that at times it can be hard to restrain one's self, but, well, we can only be as tolerant as we can.

Nope. That was an excellent posting. I have written extensively myself on the tremendous contradictions in the conspiracy movement. Some people have even attempted to develop a unified conspiracy theory or, as some people call it, fusion paranoia.

Here is a brilliantly crafted example. It was done so well that many people think it was serious:

U.S states have a lot of rights granted to them by the constitution to prevent too much power being centralized in the Federal government, as an example.

i also think there should be multiple levels of decision, based in part on geography or local culture, some things like healthcare and education however would be better served if regulated globally

I don't agree. There are enough problems with central planning as is, there is no need to exacerbate them by trying to do it on a scale of 7 billion people. It would also prevent you from being able to relocate based on your preferences. If I don't like the global healthcare system, am I out of luck?

a properly derived guaranteed annual income could also do away with bulky safety nets and a lot of the tax beurocracy as well

I perhaps could agree with this. Though what do you mean by properly derived?

Who has suggested not allowing you to relocate?

Some of my tax money supports services I may never use. That is the end result of not living on an island.

and what is to prevent such a concept from including a constitution, many countries have them today, why should it be any different.

they are not sacrosanct documents, most have been altered multiple times, the us constitution is no different.

what are your alternatives to a humane healthcare system but centralized control? local, global or national.

for that matter one could run a hybrid where anyone not willing to pay taxes towards that service should pay their own bills should anything happen to them, for many that would mean financial ruin should anything serious arise.

by properly derived i mean that local economic factors are considered, local pay grades and the price of consumer goods for an example.
in essence making sure that no one anywhere gets less than needed for basic sustenance and shelter anywhere they live.

for some that would mean a lot of money, for others, if their traditions are preserved and they have somewhere to preserve it, almost nothing.

besides all we are doing is speculating, i dont mean to say that anything of the above would actually work, but i do say we should at least investigate any concept we want to dismiss, as said before there are plenty of scenarios where such a government would mean a dystopian future, then again the same can be said of anything really, governments today, social groups(smaller scale dystopia) etc.

You people are so stupid and blind.

You keep saying you're educated. Who educated you?

You keep saying it's distracting people. It distracts a MINORITY of people so they figure out the TRUTH while the rest of you
are NOT distracted by Illuminati conspiracies

You guys have Aspergers. Come on. Critically think. You don't know everything, and you're not right and I'm not right, but this is a lot better of an explanation than any of you have come up with that's for damn sure

The best part of this all is you think that there are NO PTB. Who do you think controls the military? Have you even
heard JFK's speech about secret societies? He was ASSASSINATED. Just another coincidence I guess.

So when martial law IS installed. Please - come back to this thread so I can berate you all some more.

Plus a poster on ATS predicted a blood sacrifice on the day of this movie's opening.
