Why is America so arrogent?

Its because you won one war against the English, and have no history to speak of, so you need to shout to get attention, also religion, Americans believe in general that God is literally running their lives and blissfully walk into situations hoping that faith will win a war rather than tactics.

Its like you're the Paris Hilton of countries, you were important for a while but now you just walk around being rich and vacant of any real intellect. I suppose you have to be arrogant because most other places laugh at the hundreds, thousands of ridiculous American beliefs and people, the rampant obesity and the general lack of non-biblical ethics.

You teach intelligent design in schools right? A theory that says we are just made by aliens in order to serve their benevolent master. A master who punishes people for being true to their nature, refuses to hear the possibility of other religions, tells people to murder their own sons as a test, ruins peoples lives to prove a point and if you work really hard being ignorant to new ideas you may get to live in his magical dream palace.

And that is something that you teach in science?

Misidentifying excellence as arrogance is a trait of inferiority and envy. Misnomers bring comfort to the feeble-minded.

It was either nuke them or do it the traditional way with a land invasion accompanied by lots and lots more conventional aerial bombing including incendiary bombing of civilians. We're talking about 1945 here and the options available at that time.

Americans are arrogant because they are essentially insecure. For a large, economically and militarily powerful country they are frightened of their own shadows. As a nation and as individuals they appear to be terrified of every threat that exists, whether terrestrial or extra-terrestrial, real or imaginary, a state of mind that leads to their 'shoot first, ask questions later' approach. In what other country in the world would a White, 'neighbourhood protection officer' be able to legally shoot dead an adolescent boy returning from the local store with a paper bag containing cans of soft drink simply because he was Black and 'looked to be a threat'? (This is only one such example.) The situation is exacerbated by the prevailing tendency to see things in very polarised - often literally black and white - terms: one is either for or against something, no nuances of opinion seem to be possible or desirable.
As someone who has lived and worked in the USA and has dozens of relatives there, I think America is its own worst enemy.

Time to get over it, doncha think?

I think it is a mistake to confuse a government with the citizens.
