She probably has several more incarnations before that's sorted out.

Don't say too much bad about her or you could be her equivalent in your next life. :P

I bet plenty of people here want to be "rich and famous". Perhaps less than neurotypicals, I don't know...

So shouldn't "Purgatory" be on option in the survey as well?

God (or the Pope, rather) abolished that place. I wonder why a perfect being would create it in the first place, then?

Oh really?

Like fish on Friday, they got rid of purgatory?

When did they do that?

Did they get rid of "Limbo" as well?

Ah, got them confused. Limbo was abolished. Purgatory is temporary though and it's not actually a place so much as a process.

Limbo was a place.

As far as I'm concerned its a great way to be at all the great parties and end up in and out of rehab from it leaving you incredibly empty and having the habit of filling that emptiness with drugs. Seems like the only people who keep it together hold that whole scene (Hollywood, etc.) at arms distance, keeping work at work.

IMHO you can't not be influenced by your environment, ie. it will create demand draw of one kind or another and present crisis of identity. Gaga I think had something seeded in her, I mean geez when I have seen her play on TV it's a bit like her unconscious practically possesses her. In that sense she could have even started at the top of the steps being a fundamentalist Christian and what's in her probably would have either dragged her in kicking and screaming, or, it would be gnawing away at her as she worked a drug store counter or in a front desk position directing calls.

Stuff like that does worry you because cases like hers make me look a lot deeper into eternal justice - ie. if someone has all other doors closed, is strapped in for the ride, and the only way for them to succeed in life is to just take the plunge and go with what's in them - it would be a grainy situation, IMHO, for that to be judged. If anything they're subordinating themselves to the unwordly which is taking a working relationship with the vertical (ie. theurgy) rather than the horizontal (ie. man-handling material reality by sheer will) which seems to be the moral of most stories today regarding what 'should' be done.

Limbo was a place.

It's also a really neat dance, albeit I have to admit I'm terrible at it.

So what did they do with the souls of all of those "unbaptized babies" and "virtuous Pagans"?

Just cut 'em loose in space?

Or did they file them into the heaven-hell-purgatory system?

Ugh, I just got a mental image of the Pope as some kind of captain on Babylon 5 or Battelstar spacing a load of baby souls and ghosts in togas.
