I wouldn't consider Canada unless there was work and they wanted me there. Trump hasn't fired me yet anyways.

I'd seriously vote Trump for that cage-match though: Think about it, Trump and Un, two physically feeble guys, one less feeble, one more aggressive. There's no telling how that would go, other than awesome.

Right now Alberta's economy sucks since Saudi Arabia won't stop price-fixing its oil below cost, and as a result this is bringing down the rest of Canada because Alberta's oilfields are Canada's main economic driver. So, I don't know if coming to Canada is actually a good idea.

I would vote for Kim Jong Un before Trump. Yes, he's a Juche Fundamentalist, but at least it's an ethos.

If you truly believe that, you have mental problems and not just aspergers.

It's going to be like this for a very long time as the major oil exporters are all fighting wars or are near economic collapse(like Venezuela) Saudi Arabia in particular is spending a massive amount of money on its military and is fighting a war in Yemen and is funding it in Syria and wants to get directly involved. One thing we can be grateful for is that the Saudis are so inbred and incompetent in their leadership which is all run by their massive royal family who like to play dress up and soldier occasionally. The Saudis didn't like much the idea of the US becoming energy efficient thus no longer needing their disgusting theocratic dictatorship which is the source of almost all the world's terrorism. They're going to pump and pump and pump because they need the money but it is also a form of economic warfare.

I think we're going to be seeing a lot of people move to Canada if Donald Trump or Ted Cruz get elected. I might get to meet some of my friends in person. Canada/US relations aren't going to be that great though, since we just elected our first Liberal PM in YEARS.

I remember people talking about migrating is George W. Bush would get re-elected. How many have acted on their statement to do such a thing? And how much of it was just talk?

I remember hearing this about one candidate or another since 1968

I would have voted yesterday in Colorado's primary IF THEY'D LET ME!
I'm registered as a Civil Libertarian and cannot vote in primaries in this state because they're all either Demorcrat or Republican only. I wish we would change to an open primary like other states have where any registered voter can ask for either one of the two ballots and make their choice.
I will be voting in the general election in November. I don't believe I've missed one of those since my college days.

UK is only marginally better than the US (in some ways, like healthcare, but the have cons over there too, and they're undoing that). In many ways it's even worse... rigid class/caste system that is not going away, high cost of living, horrible air pollution (the worst in Europe), bad weather, epidemic casual violence (chavs, hooligans, etc. getting drunk and running amok, beating and stabbing people for no reason...)

It doesn't matter who you vote for - the government always wins - the real government, the shadow government, the deep state - and that is controlled by a hereditary billionaire aristocracy - in every country... think about it.

I'm still bolting if Cruz becomes president. I will not live in a church state where the head leader conducts business based on his own convoluted Biblical beliefs and not the Constitution. Oh well, I've never been an American at heart anyway, so maybe this would give me the motivation I've been needing to downsize and move to where my loyalty lies.

I actually agree, and I don't even like Trump - never did - he's just a big, spoiled bully and a jerk. But if Bernie Sanders can't be president, I wonder if Trump is the 2nd best choice? At least he's not a total whore of Wall Street banksters and AIPAC warmongers, like EVERY OTHER candidate (except Bernie, of course, but we all knew he never had a chance, right?). Trump is rich - he doesn't need to be anyone's whore.

As for Hillary - it's a little late for her to suddenly start aping some of Bernie's points - she never gave a d*mn about the bottom 99%... she's all about helping her buddies on Wall Street and starting more stupid, counterproductive wars against every poor little country that dares to help Palestinian and Lebanese Christians and Muslims resist Israeli occupation and oppression...

“I don't vote. Two reasons. First of all it's meaningless; this country was bought and sold a long time ago. The s**t they shovel around every 4 years *pfff* doesn't mean a f*****g thing. Secondly, I believe if you vote, you have no right to complain. People like to twist that around – they say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain', but where's the logic in that? If you vote and you elect dishonest, incompetent people into office who screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You caused the problem; you voted them in; you have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote, who in fact did not even leave the house on election day, am in no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain about the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.” -- George Carlin

AWESOME quote from an awesome mind. I figured out that voting was a joke and a sham watching student elections in high school - much like the lesbian girl in the hilarious movie "Election" (1999) - worth watching just for that girl's speech to the student assembly. I've never voted, but if by some *miracle* Bernie Sanders gets nominated, I'll probably vote for the first time ever.

The way I think of it, I'm part of the silent majority who vote by not voting - we know it's a sham and want no part of it. (But even I have a glimmer of hope, or naivete, as the case may be...)

Exactly. And they want us to hate Iran, which has done NOTHING to us - on the contrary, they categorically condemned the 9/11 attacks (carried out by Saudis led by Saudi Osama Bin-Laden), helped us take down the Taliban and Saddam, let women drive (unlike Saudi Arabia), let tens of thousands of Jews and hundreds of thousands of Christians live happily and practice their religion in Iran (unlike Saudi Arabia), have more women in college than men (unlike Saudi Arabia), etc. Nobody knows these things!

I hear you - I share most of your sentiment (although I identify more with America than with any other country - MY ideal version of America, which would be like a Nordic country in terms of fairer distribution of the wealth). But did you know that Britain is *officially* a theocracy? I mean really... "Church of England"? The Queen is head of the Church? Crazy. And they still have all these clowns called "Lords" and judges who wear silly wigs... and they don't even HAVE a Constitution...

Thanks for reminding me, Thomas, but the role of religion in the establishment of Great Britain was indeed one of my biggest disappointments when I began my study of UK history in preparation of someday taking out full British citizenship. It's not a matter of if it will happen, but WHEN. If Cruz does get elected to the presidency, that will mean the time has come. I'm still hoping the US voters have more brains than to elect a religious zealot.
