Big waste of time and money. Do left wingers ever get tired of literally getting ripped off? First Bernie takes your money and runs now Jill Stein trolls them for millions of dollars, for what? A couple dozen more votes? If we want to investigate voter fraud then lets actually do it but I don't think that's a hole that Democrats want to go down; lets find all the illegal immigrant, dead, and multiple time voters.

Why do left wingers hate democracy so much? We talk about Brexit and now they're trying to say they should vote again when the same exact people tried to argue that some referendum from 1975 about the EEC was binding in regards to their membership to the EU? Now they didn't understand what they were voting for and need a do ever, too bad it will be moot point by 2019 if they do succeed in usurping the will of the people because the EU will be in shambles by that time. Hollande and Merkel won't be there anymore, I think Europe will be looking very different in coming years.

Where will the secessionist Scots go if they don't have the EU to run to? Their whole independence scam was such a farce, the Scottish people demand to be ruled by the Germans instead of the English! How is that independence, exchanging one ruler for even less democratic one? Get over it and move on, remember what I said about it being useful keeping Nigel Farage around? I think he's earned it at this point. Stop ruminating about your failed political dream, people do not believe the fear mongering anymore.

Reuters/Yahoo: Michigan moves to block presidential recount in state: statement

Quote:
Michigan's attorney general on Friday said he had filed a lawsuit to halt the Green Party's requested recount of the presidential contest in the state, saying the effort would be too expensive and cost millions of dollars.

Everything they worried about Trump and his voters doing if Trump lost to upset a smooth transition, is being done by them. Rioting. Assignation threats. Claiming the election was rigged and or hacked. On and on. It's just so pathetic. I can't imagine my generation, who will be voting age in 2020, will be wanting to be a part of the democratic political party. Too hypocritical and too hysterical.

Well a large part of the protesting and hysteria is down to people your age.

Statistically young people are very likely to vote for the Democratic Party. Only 29% of 18 to 39 year olds supported Trump. You might be in that 29%, but you might not. I suspect you'll change quite a few of your views as you grow and learn more about the issues.

Yeah, generally people become more conservative with age as they learn more.

We know what we voted for, that was made clear before the election. There was no such thing as 'hard brexit' or 'soft brexit'. We knew we were voting to leave the European Union and the single market. There was no talk of this beforehand because the smug arrogant crooks in power thought they would win easily, hence why dodgy Dave only planned for one outcome. I have no idea where the 2019 idea comes from, and if the government hasn't triggered Article 50 by April next year, there will be protests which could develop into a lot more.

I guess the establishment will never learn, so nationalist governments will have to win in France and then Germany.

I think we should rebuild Hadrian's Wall

Are the benefits of EU worth what the "membership fees" are? Where does all this money go and would it be fair for the UK to keep paying after leaving?

(I really do want to know the pros and cons of "going it alone" or remaining because as a non-Briton I'd like to know what the informed UK opinion is on this).

Isn't it the opinion of many that London is subservient to what happens in Brussels?

If you're interested in learning what the EU actually is, then these are a good start-

The Atlantic: Can Trump’s Defenders Stop Stein's Recounts? The president-elect’s allies are seeking to stop recounts in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

Why would he even bother? The recounts aren't going to change the results. If anything, they will solidify his victory.

So it's finally all over -- doesn't matter now what happens in Wisconsin or anywhere else:

And so the ember dies.

I am left to wonder at the respective size of the gold doors:

The Democrats may now have to retreat to their underground bunker for the next 4 (8) years:

The Russian government buildings date back to imperial days so it's no wonder they had good doors and fancy decors.

I don't get your point?

This might be good in the long term. The democrats could seize majorities in the midterms.
