You might be correct there, but my own suspicion is that the only impedences being experienced amount to mere bones being thrown to help keep *everyone* distracted in arguments such as these while the band yet plays on ...

That implies some sort of massive conspiracy to keep the entire population preoccupied while some undefined group, for undefined reasons, does unknown (but presumably pernicious) things.

Occam is probably slitting his wrists right about now.

So then, you equally oppose pluralism, pantheism, etc., etc.? And if so, then upon what do you believe political and social decisions would/could/should best be made?

Well first lets sort out the class struggle, get somewhere approaching equality and remove the profit motive. Then we can all make decisions on what is for the best interests of the people and the planet we inhabit. I do not pretend to know all the answers and neither should I nor any other single individual. However the removal of religious dogma from the equation will make the task a great deal easier.

Mind if I use that phrase in the future?

If she had written "Bear", might you have suspected she was asking someone to join her in growling?! :)

Eaay when evolution is a part of your beliefs. A major fally is the belief that there is one religion and to go at vairious parts, disproves all belief systems. So many religions, with such a varity on their stances and teachings, and stories.

Most likely it's Orrorin Tugenesis. The important thing to understand, is that very few primates (including us) ever fossilize due to the fact that primates tend to live in environments that dissolve bones before they can fossilize.

of corse just because fossiles exist, doesnt mean they been found, or reconized for what they are

Here's my question:

What is your stance on creationism now that most of what was assumed has now been scientifically investigated?

I thought without coming off bias maybe I could get some insight as to whether or not you accept evolution and if not why?

In other words why base your belief off religious scriptures and texts without evidence?

If you accept evolution, how do you accept your own version of truth through a divinity if evolution has already disproven much of "god's" works.

Not here to ridicule but I'm just curious...

The process of evolution, that new species form and whatnot in terms of biology is not what is offensive to contemporaneous young earth Creationists, but rather the timeline and the practically mythological storyline that accompanies it. I get quite tired of arguing in favor of this, but my views correspond to that of Jonathan Sarfati (links: http://creation.com/dr-jonathan-d-sarfati , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Sarfati , http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/profi ... 0045302864 ). He is quite accessible via facebook, so if anyone wants to have a flaming argument festival, try him if you dare.

I noticed that although he has published peer-reviewed papers in his area of expertise (particle physics) he has avoided publishing any of his refutations of evolution in peer-reviewed biology journals. How typical of Creatards I mean Creationists.

He's probably just as easy to defeat in arguments as all the other IDiots like Ken Hamm, Kent Hovind, Michael Behe etc...

One by one, they all show a lack of evidence for their positions.

Go ahead then, argue with him yourself.

That's easy, you just ask him why he refuses to publish his findings for scientific peer-review, and hold his feet to the fire untill he surrenders.

That's a common theme with all christian apolegetics though, they aren't meant to answer the skeptics, they're menat to fool the guliable.

Just because he happens to be wrong on this matter doesn't mean he is unintelligent, or easy to beat in an argument. I expect most biology professors would actually be hard-pressed to win a debate against some creationist apologists, notwithstanding the fact that creationism is utter nonsense. And the person Iamnotaparakeet referenced is obviously quite an intelligent person- he holds a PhD in chemistry and is among the top 5000 or so best chess players in the world. He even reportedly is capable of playing blindfold simuls, which is impossible for almost all chess players, even some of the best.
