The process of evolution is basically that of organic life inventing as many variations of itself as possible out of the material at hand. The environment then proceeds to murder all life forms that do not conform to its current survival standards. Since the basic material for variation continually changes and the current standards for survival also continuously change the interplay of the two interactions present a continuous scenario of invention and murder. No doubt it is fascinating but also mercilessly brutal. What's to like?

Except it doesnt have standards.

It just tries to kill all of them. And it does eventually. Its just that some of them reproduce first, resetting the game.

Speaking of games, after reading your post, you seem a little off yours. Stop ascribing intent to a unthinking force.

"Murder" and "standards" imply intent and consciousness. There is no consciousness to natural selection. It is a purely natural physical process. Nature in the raw is dumber than a bag of rocks. It has no intention, no purpose, no goal, no plan. It just does what it does.

The standards of evolution are that if whatever came alive cannot sustain itself in the current environment it is killed. You may not consider that murder, but I do. There is a logic in evolution in fitting what is alive to the environment. Evolution does not kill indiscriminately. The only goal is current survival but a succession of survivals is a filtration process that nicely makes living things quite interesting.

Evolution does not do the killing. Nor even the environment. The universe does it. And the universe does kill indiscriminately. It kills everything. Everyone. Always. Its inevitable.

You can even take the environment away and things still die. Like frogs in a vacuum.

Apparently we have a different conception of what constitutes the environment. When frogs are in a vacuum, the vacuum is the environment. The local conditions of the universe is the environment and it kills, not randomly but by the conditions it presents to living things that try to exist in that set of conditions. Evolution is the name we give to the influence of the local conditions of the universe on living creatures and whether or not they survive.

By that logic, shouldn't you change your signature to : “Everything is perfect in God- even your desire to improve it.” ? <.<
