Security was cut by Congress, who has the power of the purse.

They saw it as $300,000,000 in wasted Tax Cuts.

So blame the Guilty, House Republicans.

As for the CIA, remember the seven in Afganistan who invited an Egyptian Doctor to their office? To refresh, BOOM!

I can predict that thousands of Americans will die tomorrow, it is a fact.

Problem is I cannot tell which ones where.

CIA in Iran, facing overwhelming evidence of their guilt, confessed, told all, and of course the CIA said they were lying, they had nothing to do with it.

The CIA has stopped over ten thousand deadly attacks on the US, only they are not allowed to talk about it. It is llike the George Bush Weapons of Mass Destruction Museum, it exists, but it is not open to the public.

The President of The United States is a figurehead. Not since Teddy the Bull Moose has there been one who would ride his horse fifty miles to call you out in the street for a fair fight.

He is the fall guy, Commander in Chief, scape goat of Congress, the Pentagon, CIA, FBI, and every other branch that are Civil Service, under leaders who never last more than eight years.

Hillery is the Spokesperson of State. She is a wind up doll, and not self winding.

House Republicans will vote for Defense, and nothing else. The State Department stops wars, they are the enemy, cut off the money and replace Diplomats with CIA, like the twenty-four Intelligence Officers in Benghazi.

Libya did not know they were there, that is not how Diplomats work.

They were supporting an Islamic Front, and just like the Communists said, they could always tell the FBI by their willingness to donate money, and thier time to mail out the newsletter. In North Africa, it is the Payroll, and the weapons. Just like they are doing in Sryia.

The goal is to prevent local power from evolving, by bringing in well funded leadership. Normal backlash, when the CIA troops moved on to Mali, the local Islamist was someone who had spent time in jail, been tortured, and was seeking a just government, and when the clash came, he drove the CIA out of that whole side of the country.

It was also occupied suddenly by the real government, who would not let the Americans back in, and pressure on the Prime Minister, got him fired. The few who fled, one to Egypt, with guns, bombs, and the two who showed up in Turkey with fake passports, are likely CIA loyal.

All sides in Libya do not want a Civil War. Seventeen Tribes are sorting out a new power structure, They are as rich as Kuwait, and do not want to share with people bringing them God, or Democracy.

So Obama did not occupy the oil fields, and State did not mention it was a setup by the Libyans, and while local Islamists may have been involved, it hardly seems they had deadly intent. This is the same group who defended the hospital, who when they found the body took it to the hospital where they tried to revive him for hours. It was as scripted as the Pro American demostrations in the days that followed.

The American imported Islamists packed up and headed for Mali.

So somebody died, as I recall we just dumped a few billion in bombs on the country, and they are not non leathal, they killed Libyans, lots of Libyans. So a little blow back on a no fly zone that went rogue, and killed thousands.

Another point, on the first day there was mentions of locals being killed, they must have come back to life, for they are no longer mentioned, only White Men.

There was a lot of shooting from the CIA compounds.

In Nicarague the CIA run Contras killed Teachers, Mayors, Labor Leaders, Nuns, and other Commies and children. The Contras were Samosa's Police who had fled. Same killers, new employer.

It was not a one time event, The School Of The Americas turned out people who killed whole villages throughout South America.

We have fully earned our reputation worldwide.

Money or no money the president could have ordered in the armed forces to protect our embassy which is U.S. territory.

It most certainly is not U.S. territory.

All embassies continue to be the territory of the receiving state. The have extraterritorial protection from the application of local law, to be sure. But no Sending State is free to send troops--particularly armed troops--without the consent of the Foreign Ministry of the Receiving State, because the Embassy continues to be the territory of the that state.

And as for the decision, no one has yet presented a cogent argument that the President's decision was not the correct one, given the information avaialable at the time that he made it.

ruveyn, Inventor is actually rather misinformed (I'm being charitible). It came out in hearings that the state department was sitting on $2,000,000,000 of money that should have gone to funding embassy security.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) says the State Department is sitting on $2.2 billion that should be spent on upgrading security at U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide, but the Obama administration will not spend the funds.

Issa made his comment during an appearance on CBS's "Face the Nation" to discuss the recent attack in Benghazi, Libya, that left U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans dead. Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, held a highly partisan hearing on the incident last week.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/politico- ... 38402.html

Then we have:
The committee chairman, Darrel Issa, then released state department cables not previously made public containing the requests for more security including one from the then ambassador to Libya, Gene Cretz.

Another official, Eric Nordstrom, who was responsible for protecting US diplomats in Libya, said that he too sought additional resources. But he said he was told over the phone by a senior state department official responsible for handling the request, Charlene Lamb, not to make any more because "there would be too much political cost".

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/oc ... department

So unless people here want to start accusing Eric Nordstrom of committing perjury without anything to back up the accusations, I think we can safely say the requests for additional security were denied for political reasons, not money constraints. They considered a political narrative for the election here in the United States to be more important than our Ambassador's safety, and the Ambassador paid for it with his life.

The political costs would be at the other end, Embassy, Yes, Fort and Occupation, No.

Libya has a hard enough project forming a government, as they have been denied a political process for 40 years. They do have to join local militias into police and army, but so far they are working on a Constitution.

There must be a basis for agreement.

While one group is calling for more Americans with guns, it is up to Libya to let them in, and they refused, and did note, the twenty four in Benghazi were a lot more than they knew about.

While Embassy staff are exempt from local law, they are only allowed in with permission, they can be told to leave, they have to be registered with the local government to have Diplomatic Immunity, and it seems some of our agents did not.

An Embassy is not part of the United States. It is not a Millitary Base.

It is an office that might have basic security, but is defended by the host government. We can build walls, but not shoot over them. As happened, we can call on the local government to get our people out, and they did respond. They found at least twice the people they thought, had to call in another plane, and described them all as Intelligence Officers, which is not State Department.

CIA is claiming to be State Department, but they have thier own money, did have several dozen security men, and nothing else.

This Mission, called a Consulate, was a myth. It was established before the fall of Gaddafi, so he did not give permission, nor did the post Gaddifi government. Cris stated there was nothing when he came by Greek ship, and he had to get a hotel room.

So there was not even a Diplomatic outpost. The building they grabbed were likely owned by Gaddafi, without even a lease.

The government of Libya is granting no American claims. Not letting the Army occupy, the FBI investigate, or the State Department restore, and they surely are not letting the CIA back in. Also, the foreign troops were driven out at the same time.

Libya for Libyans.

The CIA were played by the Islamists, who used Libya to invade Mali.

Mauritania next door lost a war with the Saharawi, could not defend their country, and the Islamists will spread.

Another great move to add to our string of geopolitical failures.

Honestly the Republicans must be pretty desperate to want to hang their hats on this. In the grand scheme of things, its pretty minor stuff - yeah, no one is happy that the ambassador got killed, but once he had been, who figured out who was behind it, when, is pretty insignificant, except that one side wants to turn it into a huge political issue, as if it were in fact important or as if it were indicative of some larger issue. The idea that this really has anything to do with the direction the country should head in for the next four years is pretty silly.

The real truth is that when it comes to Obama, the Republicans have criticized him for every single thing he's done, short of breathing. They are the boys who cried wolf when it comes to saying Obama did something bad.

They are wrapping themselves in the flag.

Truth, Cris made claims he had to be there to recover 20,000 heat seeking ground to air missiles, Russian made, range two kilometers. It seems they vanished.

He was calling for more funding, they all do.

So saying he was in danger, so what! CIA are not supposed to complain.

A few shots around did not bring more money, so he arranged an attack, by his foreign friends, who got the SAMs.

The guards were local, and the first day said ten of them were killed, and they were the closest to the government. Locals killed, buildings burning, people injured, brings out th elocal police, fire, and ambulence.

They drive off the foreign fighters, or they just left after finishing the job.

This group, is now being accused of being the cause.

They searched the building, found Cris, and took him to the hospital.

They also picked up their dead, all locals.

It looks like Cris set it up, so he could walk out of the smoldering ruins, like Dutch in Predator, but his safe room was not as good as he thought.

I caught the father of one of the dead Seals on Fox, he said during the attack his son was told to stand down, several times, which he disobeyed, went to rescue the burning flag, or something, and wound up dead.

So two died, and two dozen did nothing, and lived to get on the plane.

The lead guy they were there to protect, they left behind. The next morning he would climb out of the rubble, strike a Rambo pose, and demand troops, tanks, gold, as he wared on Benghazi.

This was written by Uncle Duke, and Jeff Redfern.

He was not supported in some parts of Washington that wanted friends in Libya, and those friends wanted the CIA Cowboys, and their imported friends, out of Libya.

The locals who defended, and the hospital crew, were the closest to the government. They were Nationalist. We do not have a government, we do have a country, we will keep it.

Four men are in the safe room, two say they went out through the bathroom window. and up on the roof, while taking fire.

Safe rooms do not have windows, so they come back down from the roof, go back in the room, and find one guy dead, and the other missing? It is a room, with bath, but still a room. The two guys and body leave.

They carry him through rifle fire, machine guns, RPGs, Mortors, to the Safe House, a mile away. They get through, put are followed by people who shoot guns at the safe house.

Meanwhile the hospital crew shows up, gathers the dead, and searching the still burning building finds the safe room, and another body, which they take back to the hospital, and try to revive for two hours.

So yes, they were there, did provide medical functions, returned the body to the hospital, and gave it their best try.

So two die of smoke, and one dies because he refused an order to stand down.

Twenty four who did nothing get on two planes and leave.

They lost 20,000 heat seeking surface to air missiles, lost control of the foreign fighters who then invaded Mali, and heads were going to roll. Heads did roll, heros were made, a Gulf of Tonkin event, an excuse to invade.

Libya mopped up the foreign fighters, held major demostrations of support for America, and closed the area to Americans. They say there is no evidence that the hospital staff planned and lead the attack, killed the locals who were guarding the place, and they do have their own agents there on the ground, and they have cell phones.

The moral of this story is do not be the Head of Mission in the field when the CIA fails. Also do not be loyal to him, or disloyal to orders from the Company.

The Government of The United States is not one group, with a single plan.

There is self interest. The Seals are working for the CIA, which contracts for State Department protection. A UN no fly zone used up a Billion in bombs, that will be replaced, nice contract. Somebody in the Navy is about to retire and become a consultant for bomb makers.

The CIA claims they are only in the arms and drugs business to find out who else is, their suppliers and customers. 20,000 Russian missiles that sell for $10,000 each, yes, they did vanish.

Mali is south of Algeria, who has lots of oil, and Botaflika fought and defeated the Islamists several times. He is secular, western, modern, and some people hate that.

It gets worse, he spends the income of the country on the people, he gave everyone a computer and high speed internet, is building a high speed rail line along the northern coast, building new cities, universities, and developing the economy.

He is a threat to everything the King of Saudi Arabia holds dear, like all the money.

Obama will not be King, father of Kings, so he is nothing in the long game.

The Saudis are one of the biggest weapons buyers, so the Defense Industry likes them.

Congress is based on bribes, and those with money get favors.

It is what it is.

Sorry, but the President's oath and most important function is to protect American citizens on American soil.

Standing down or not, the Seal went there because he knew that the Ambassador was going to get no support from his Government.

American Embassies are technically American Soil, and American laws apply there.

The fact that they did nothing to protect American citizens on American soil is indeed a big deal to some of us. How do we trust him to make the right decision elsewhere, including here? Sorry, but that is not an insignificant issue. It may not relate to your iPad or the cost of gas, but it's a big deal when an administration will not do anything to protect it's own citizens. That is a huge political issue.

Attacking a US embassy is an attack on sovereign US soil. That's how it works for all embassies on the planet and it is a serious act of war!

Maybe in theory, and maybe a convenience to your political agenda. But in reality, attacks on embassies rarely if ever lead to war. Two examples - during the NATO intervention in Yugoslavia, U.S. bombs hit the Chinese embassy there. You'll note that there was no war between the US and China. Likewise, the Iranian storming of the US embassy in the late 70's certainy didn't portend a period of wonderful US/Iranian relations, but again, you'll note that no war between the US and Iran ensued.

In any case, obviously there was a lot of confusion about who did it right after it happened. And yet, you're shocked - SHOCKED - that there was. I mean, after all, the dead ambassador obviously hopped on the phone to President Obama and told him that in the mob of hundreds, he recognized the guy who fired the RPG that killed him from a mug book of Al Queda operatives. Oh, except that didn't happen. The U.S. clearly had no basis to immediately know who did it, but because the President is not gifted with extra-sensory cognition (or, maybe, just maybe, because he's Barak Obama and he can do nothing but wrong in your eyes) it must be the President's fault. Your mock outrage is completely disingenuous. If you want people to vote against Obama, come up with some real reasons.
