Unconvincing lie. I never said i was opposed to a Jewish state per sae. I am just not convinced it should be in Palestine. If the purpose of Israel is to protect Jews from anti semetic violence, then it is clearly failing that role considering more Jews die from politically related violence there than any other part of the world. My belief is that since the UK created the problem there, the onus lies on the UK to solve the problem through some sort of land reparation. Perhaps it can find a constructive use for one of its island colonies, like the falklands.

then again, if Jews must have a state purely because they were a significant group among holocaust victims it creates an interesting precedence. I have never understood why no one is advocating a gay state, a gypsy state or a disabled state, on the same basis.

It's sophistry on your part.

If I was American and I said I'd go to the polling station and put an 'X' in the BNP box if I lived in England, or if I was English and I'd said I'd vote for the NPD in Germany or Jobbik in Hungary, what would you think of me? You could reasonably suspect that I supported the general aims of that organisation. In Fatah's case, it's about an end to Israel, regardless of all the BS and lies they tell Western journalists.

You expect me to believe this horse dung?

Ahahahahahahahahaha!

And a person can say they support Jobbik because they believe in its policy of getting rid of welfare benefits for criminals. A ten-year-old with half a brain could see that that person was being massively disingenuous.

Why not say that you'd vote for a Labor Zionist party in Israel instead, if it's about socialism and a rapprochement with the Palestinians? No blood on your hands that way, you don't look like you have a mindless grudge against Israel and you can assuage your "secular socialist credentials" too. These parties are big supporters of dialogue with the Palestinians, and they don't bear the hatred and fanaticism that the Palestinians do. And, if you support a left-wing Zionist party, you're not supporting an organisation which incites hatred against Israelis and praises terrorists. Almost all of those parties want to pull out of most, if not all of the West Bank. If Israel's policy in the West Bank and Gaza is all you're arguing against, you'd be better with a party like that.

Checkmate.

Oh, and there wouldn't be any need for 'incursions' into Gaza (that have long since stopped happening - Israel pulled out of Gaza nearly seven years ago now) if Hamas wasn't lobbing rockets over the border every day and trying to kill Israelis. Israel is defending itself from terrorists. Under the standards of most of the Middle Eastern dictatorships, theocracies and other hellholes that you never criticise, the Palestinians would have either been ethnically cleansed long ago. That would have ably solved the problem, but it would have been at an awful, awful price.

Expecting the lay arab who fatah speak on behalf of, to avidly advocate or appreciate a genocide that occured over a thousand miles away in a theatre that did not concern them is like expecting a Polish or Czech Jew to display the same enthusiasm for the victims of the rape of Nanking.

Can anyone say... 'false analogy'?

On that point I charge you with attempting to downplay and make excuses for racism.

Massive, massive difference there thomas81 - the average Polish or Czech Jew would never deny the Rape of Nanking. They might not be especially interested in the subject, just as I'm not particularly interested in the massacre of native South American tribes by the Spanish Conquistadores - but I'd never try to deny it and pretend that it didn't happen solely for political gain. Your attitude is shameful. The Palestinians know very well about the Holocaust. When they're not denying it, they're praising it instead. 'Mein Kampf' and 'The Protocols' are popular reading material in Arab countries.

Perhaps the Israeli Jews and their descendants (that make up around half of the population of Israel's Jews) can go back to the Arab countries they were kicked out of?

How many Jews are there in Egypt, Libya (the new Islamist dispensation has said that Jews are not welcome there), Algeria, Yemen etc etc now?

No. I think they should go to countries like Britain and America, where they aren't hated.

If you mean Palestinian Jews, I think they have every right to stay. I have little time for pale skinned jews with american and french accents who turn up out of the blue on the gaza strip to build their houses.

So when increasingly violent and uncivilised elements of the Muslim population in Britain and Sweden - as is already happening - step up racist attacks Jews for being Jews, backed up by the Quran, I'm sure people like you will find another excuse for excusing the behaviour of scum.

There has never been a Palestinian state in history. Not now, not ever. A Palestinian state is a massive anomaly. It's easier to drop the ahistorical guff and simply state that Muslims do not want a Jew about the place.

But people who have fled Muslim persecution can't, and it's perfectly alright to persecute them again?

As long as they pay the jizya?

Also, you show an ignorance of Israel. A lot of 'pale-skinned Jews' are sabras. They were born there, have lived there all their lives. They haven't just turned up out of the blue. They have lived there for generations now.

Load of crap. When i lived in England, it was the nexus of an Jewish-muslim-2nd generation Irish neighbourhood. There was no animosity between the groups.

there are Jewish testimonies of the British mandate times that Jews and arabs co-existed amicably, until the likes of the Irgun showed up.

So if you didn't see it, it doesn't happen. Well, thank you, Professor of Race Relations.

Or until the Arab leaders started inciting violence and murder against Jews?

you're the one who mentioned Sweden. Not me.

I do not know of the situation in Sweden, hence my not mentioning it. I know that racism in scandanavia is on the upturn, crystalled by in large by the Anders Breivik massacre.

actually, the intial arab uprising was against the British, not the Jewish settlers. Things got more complicated when Jewish militia started coming out of the woodwork.

I could mention instances of anti-Semitic attacks by Muslims on Jews in Muslim areas of England if you want. Your choice.

For starters:

http://www.thecst.org.uk/docs/Incidents ... 202011.pdf

They've definitely been on the rise since 2000.

you could do, but it would be an excercise in hair splitting. Other forms of discrimination are far more prominent in the UK, but it doesnt prevent affected groups emmigrating there.

The fact remains the racial group in the UK most affected by day to day racism are asians, specifically those from the Indian subcontinent. That only serves to be exacerbated by inflammatory language used by opportunist parties like the tories and UKIP. During the last government, anti asian violence rose by 200 percent after William Hague's speech about 'Tikka Masala' becoming the new national dish.

I have lost count of the number of times I have debated with an Israel supporter who has conflated opposition to Zionism with antisemitism and then systematically accused me of being an antisemite. It's the oldest trick in their book.

Reading between the lines is forming an impression in my mind that Tequila is a propagandist and a collaborator.
