You said 'I won't respond to someone who doesn't respond thoroughly' assuming I hadn't.

I agree!!

I am a scientist, so get ready to distrust what I write. The reason science and religeon are often at odds is because science asks you to question assumptions and beliefs. Religeons ask you believe without direct evidence.

Nope, I don't distrust what you wrote----if FACT, I AGREE!!

I'm not going to respond to this, because I wasn't talking to you. cathylynn IS, IMO, emotionally mature enough to respond, to this----so, I'll wait for HER response.

Hello :)

Yes, been slaving away at the bar over December.
Returning to the topic - I don't think Trump is a bigot or a racist. Ignorant, lacking in social etiquette definitely. But he's like somebody's old grandpa who is used to "saying it like it is" even though he loves everybody. And it's unlikely going to change.

Yep----that's, pretty much, what I'm thinking, as well!!

my fellow students have NO idea i already have paper and several are also non-traditional students. they judge by the way i treat them and by my class participation. i'm closest to three - an ex- pharmaceutical rep with whom i have a light-hearted competition, a young woman who had to drop out of veterinary school due to pregnancy who relies on me for advice for her family due to my seven years in social work and when either of us misses class, we share notes with the other, and the one person who knows i'm a doc because she's friends with my nephew and he blabbed. she's sworn to secrecy and i tutor her. you assume a lot.

just because i defend myself against an accusation doesn't mean i'm emotional about it. i just like to set the record straight. also, you were kind enough to share a little of yourself, so i though i'd do the same.

all of which is far afield from trump, the racist narcissist.

Having the respect of your fellow students is very admirable. I hope when I'm older I can have a happy life and still learn as you are

Actually, I'm thinking the only thing I assumed, in this portion of the conversation, was that your classmates knew of your prior education----and, I STILL wouldn't say they "have NO idea"; if, for no other reason than because, as you said: "they judge by... my class participation.". They'd have to be absolute ROCK-HEADS to not be thinking "Oh----I don't think this is her first rodeo". Then, you throw-in the "light-hearted competition" with the "ex-pharmaceutical rep", and I'm betting he/she KNOWS (even if it's not absolute, because you haven't out-and-out TOLD them) you haven't been sitting at home and reading past editions of "Marmaduke", because of the way you can discuss / debate, say, a drug's efficacy.

Then, you throw-in----whether or not you have gray/graying hair and have been blessed with the Aspie "trait" of looking alot younger than you are----the fact that you don't look TWENTY gives them the idea that you've gained knowledge, SOMEHOW, and will look up to you, automatically (if they've been raised properly, and aren't acting like they're too big for their britches, that is). See.....

.....TWENTY-something!!

also, you were kind enough to share a little of yourself, so i though i'd do the same.

I don't buy it----but, that's okay----I'm quite done, here (with this portion of the thread [the conversation between you and me]).....

Take care.

My, my, my----there's that ol' lack of reading comprehension problem, again.....

I didn't say there was anything "wrong with being 22"----and, if you read what I ACTUALLY said, and STILL think I was being prejudice / ageist, well.....

There's not a thing I can do, to help ya, then.....
