As far as the topic goes, I think it is obvious that Trump has good relations with Putin, and also Saudi Arabia and Poland, as he made a point of stopping at both. I think Trump is trying to rebuild alliances without the value of democracy. I'm glad Canada is getting closer with the EU.

I certainly hope Trump will be gone before there's irreparable damage to the USA.
I guess I hadn't been keeping up with foreign affairs, because I hadn't known Poland had elected a populist, right wing, even racist government, till now. What most people don't realize is that Poland had practised it's own form of fascism prior to the Soviet/Nazi dismembering of their country. Hitler had even tried courting the Polish dictator in his plans for destroying Stalin, though Poland begged off, throwing Hitler into a rage. I think we're starting to see a recycling of history, at least with Poland's return to right wing politics. Now, let's see if Russia, hungry for rebuilding their past glories, will look to Poland for something to eat.

It's kind of a compliment. Russian trolls are also a running gag.

It was a malfunction as part of Russia's WP infiltration, which I am being in charge of. You have no idea how badly comrade Putin wants to subvert this forum. Many rubles have been invested already.

Donny Jr's now trying to weave a lie around the truth when he had admitted finally to meeting with the Russians (saying he had been lured in with a promise of dirt on Clinton, but being the good, stand-up guy he is :P , he insisted on talking about American adoptions from Russia instead). Funny how liars just dig themselves even deeper into a hole.

The story about adoptions goes to sanctions, interestingly. The Russians banned Americans from adopting Russian children after the US sanctions. Their war criminals want badly to come to the US.

Present at the meeting were Manafort, Kushner and Trump, Jr.

If we take DJT2 as having indicated what actually happened, the purpose of the meeting seems simple. DJT2 just didn't get the message. We have this information that will help you, and we would like to see the Magnisky Act repealed. Everyone knows not to give a Trump classified information, right? Better to let the PRT brigade leak the story than give them any specifics. We just want to make sure you know whom to thank later.

Pretty basic.

Full text of emails about Trump campaign meeting to obtain Russian dirt on Clinton.
http://www.npr.org/2017/07/11/536670194 ... -annotated

It's much worse than I thought. The emails refer to Russian efforts to elect Trump like it's a widely known fact.

He really wanted to get damaging info about a political opponent from a Russian government lawyer, as they refer to her in the emails.

Oh, people on the Trump band wagon will find a way convince themselves that their orange messiah, and his boss, Putin, are being wronged by the left.

The RT takes care of that of course

This situation to me is something of substance, at last. Somewhat flaky substance, but it is something. And it's something not good.

A lot of these things remind me of the song about the there was an old lady who swallowed a fly song. There was a music promoter connected to a pop star connected to a businessman connected Russian lawyer connected to info against Clinton which lead to a talk about adoption..... You can't make this s**t up as they say.

But at long last there's something of substance, rather than the customary speculation based on innuendo and anonymous sources type crap that's usually presented.

I had no doubt that where there's smoke, there's fire.

Actually they've been seeing smoke where there's been no fire for months. And if this is the actual fire, meh. In this situation one side is going over dramatize things while the other side down plays it.

But the problem I see with this for the other side is they're going to get too carried away go overboard and end up sounding kooky as usual. I hope not. I hope it's adressed in a calm sober way for a change, but I doubt it.
