Why aren't we allowed to preach about homosexuality?

I'm no defender of the Quran and it is explicit in the sense it less like fables and more like direct incitement, but you come across as if you haven't read the Old Testament objectively. It is every bit as violent and despicable in values as the Quran.

Is it? It instructs people to kill others as a tenet of the faith? If someone was to read The Bible that would be their takeaway message?

The argument that you are making is a similar one to apologists of Islam. They say pretty much the same thing as you.

I will coincide the incitement in the Quran is a bit more emphasized, but there is a direct connection in the theology relating to the justification of the violence.

Again a straw-man argument, no-one is saying there are not violent incidents in The Bible. Everything I said to the last person that put this across I say to you, I'm not going to constantly repeat myself.

Getting back to the actual OP, I'm still waiting to hear where The Bible says homosexuality is a sin and I know I'll continue to wait. However people will continue to make threads stating The Bible is against homosexuality because for some reason being ignorant is acceptable to many people. Not what I expect from a collection of people who are supposedly in possession of "above average intelligence".

The only way to prevent penguin necrophilia is to nuke Antarctica.

The Bible clearly says that we should nuke Antarctica. Liberals won't tell you about that part of the Bible because they spend too much time listening to rap music and masturbating to anime.

He's no more off topic than you've been. If you'd like to make a thread debating if Islamic scriptures are more straightforward in promoting violence than Christian ones, no one's stopping you, but it's just as much a distraction from the current topic as Darth MZA's image macros and comments about his sexual preferences.

But hairy men got nothing on curvy, hairless women.

Autistic people don't have above-average intelligence.

Low-hanging fruit: Leviticus 18:22.

Aside from the hilarity of Leviticus 18:21, Leviticus 18 is basically a long lecture on sexual ethics. It's unambiguous.

Now you can argue that this needs to be recontextualised as part of a broader message of love and acceptance, but all the same, the Bible contains a strong condemnation of men having sex with men.

So technically it's only gay MEN that God has a problem with and lesbians are OK?

I've only been responding to the OT comments made by others. I find this type of thing really tedious, when people are proven wrong so take the thread OT then complain that others are OT when they respond. It's just childish.

That's because God is a jock douchebag.

He's only okay with girl-on-girl action if he can watch.

Leviticus 20:13
If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.

God made both men and women beautiful. He gave both of us great asses.

Therefore, God is bisexual.

Therefore, bisexuals are the only real human beings. Homosexuality and heterosexuality are aberrations.

I've said from the start that all people have is one thing from Leviticus and that people don't understand what Leviticus is. It's called the Holiness Code, it's not an instruction for how to live a Christian life, it's instructions for a particular sect of priests which is why there are many other bizarre things in there that no-one associates with Christianity such as not wearing clothes made from more than one cloth and so on. Out of all the thousands of pages in The Bible there is really only that one thing and it's taken out of context. If the church was as against homosexuality as people make out why isn't it mentioned elsewhere, or as a general instruction or teaching to all?

Answer...The Bible is not against homosexuality. The belief that it is is based on nothing more than misinformation.

I own the original version of the Bible. I found it one day when I was exploring the Middle East.

It says here that God never flooded the earth with water. Instead, he told Noah to build a bunker. After that, God farted so loudly that everyone on earth was blown into space.

God solves all his problems with magical farting because he is the epitome of manliness and men are awesome at farting.

I read that in some African countries and elsewhere being homosexual will give you the death penalty. And of course there are still and always will be individuals who hate people for something they can't help being, including people on the spectrum. Maybe even worse now for people on the spectrum. :(

Anyone who marches to the beat of a different drum is seen as a freak. Which makes no sense, since many famous people in history have been praised and admired for being unusual.

Answer...The Bible is not against homosexuality. The belief that it is is based on nothing more than misinformation.

Parts of Leviticus are only aimed at priests, but the bulk is aimed at all Israelites. For example, Leviticus 18 begins:
Quote:
The Lord said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God. You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the Lord your God. Keep my decrees and laws, for the person who obeys them will live by them. I am the Lord.

“‘No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the Lord.

“‘Do not dishonor your father by having sexual relations with your mother. She is your mother; do not have relations with her.

“‘Do not have sexual relations with your father’s wife; that would dishonor your father.

It's explicitly aimed at all God's followers, and not just the priests.
