But seriously, people didn't leave nearly as long as they do now a thousand years ago, that's a fact. Hygiene was worse due to our lack of knowledge about pathogens and bacteria and we lack the medicine that we do now. This isn't some arcane notion, I don't really understand why you would think otherwise...

Claiming that the existence of one old man in a painting portraying brutality in the Middle Ages proves that living to an old age was common at that time is plain silly

Everyone else I've shown my art to said it was really cool and one of my friends even wanted a desktop-sized variant. So I have to conclude that you're biased and/or jealous.

And if you don't find fractals mind-boggling, download viewing software that can zoom in on them endlessly....
