Michelle Bachmann says she stopped broke with her family's Democratic tradition because Gore Vidal mocked the Founding Fathers in one novel. It's funny how this supposedly "anti-American" author turned her off Democratic politics, given that she loves a book idolizing the life of a Southern Secessionist (Now talk about Anti-American! That guy worked to destroy the Union!).
