I don't have a big penis. This leaves me room to be artful in love, since there's room in Milady's Love Chamber.

He (that extension of I) could wait in the anteroom, while Milady freshens up.

Then.....as we are both patient creatures....Milady grabs Him, and allows admittance into the Drawing Room, where True Communion between two people occurs. It could be gentle and suave; it could be blunt and thoroughly under the Aegis of friction.

As a result of this artfulness, Milady never gets sore, becomes convulsed with delight, and is too exhausted from her Delight to really need More.

This thread is a classic logic v. emotion argument.
There can be no resolution.

Some people believe they have a lack of power, and it terrifies them, which usually leads to anger, which usually leads to hate.

Some people think money = power and think that they're not well enough endowed. (or at all)
Some people think pen!s = power and think that they're not well enough endowed. (or at all)

So they throw screaming tear-filled tizzy-fits, which never seems to get them anywhere and makes everyone want to avoid them, then they feel abandoned and that's proof that everybody else is big meanies.

It's literally a self-esteem problem.

There's quite a lot of hard evidence to support a couple of those hypotheses.

I am not all that obsessed with them, but I don't really get it. I mean I get it in the context of when women were fighting for the right to vote and equal rights...but I think the equal rights where basically achieved. I mean I am sure me and feminists might agree on quite a few things however can't get past that the term 'feminism' sort of implies 'females only' when some self proclaimed feminists support general human rights for everyone....which not sure the term fits. I mean I do not feel opressed over-all by males, and I think they get a lot of unfair treatment in a lot of situations actually...not sure feminism really addressees that. I guess I am more of a humanist, with no focus on specific gender.

I mean guys aren't supposed to wear make up, have to put up some masculine front and all this crap...then they get looked down more on if they have a hard time finding consistent employment than a female. Also it seems within sub-cultures people will complain about the males not being masculine enough....Then the stereotypes, like my brother is a straight male and he likes to wear make up, and people have talked crap to him about it cause he's not fitting a male stereotype or tell him he must be gay...why does a male have to be gay to wear make up? Why is a female who does not wear make up catagorized as a 'lesbian' lol I have no problem with homosexual females but just because I am not wearing make up does not mean I am one.

^ I get the impression that the typical aspie lack of concern for dressing and styling ourselves to fit social expectations tend to ping on people's gaydar, regardless of our actual orientation.

I'm certainly not against equality for women. However, in my honest opinion, feminism tends to lead to the infamous "us vs. them" mentality(at least it does nowadays anyways)...which is toxic to any ideology.

Your description of your brother's plight is very similar to that of a friend of mine.

This makes a great deal of sense to me.

Spot on. It's becoming more and more difficult to guide disparate peoples towards common ground.

I don't really dress gender specific...I mean much of the time i get my outfit ideas from males in bands I like. For instance some of my more psychedelic type outfits came from my interest in Pink Floyd. I like a lot of vintage sort of clothes but not really things that are more feminine so I'd be more likely to wear more male style clothes like that rather than more female oriented styles. Now days though guys and girls wear the rather skinny jeans and so even that is not a gender specific thing anymore from what I can tell, seems its not uncommon for guys to walk around in leggings either...though I guess guys are more likely to get weird looks for it than females.

I can't speak for other people. I don't take issue to feminism. I'm all for abolishing harmful gender stereotypes and roles, and I'm all for bringing awareness to what misogyny is and why it's such a big part of our culture.

I feel some people might feel threatened by feminism. A woman with high self esteem and intelligence poses a threat to someone's ego, I suppose. There can't really be many other reasons to hate feminism. :?

Except it's not. If anything our culture slightly favours women over men. Individuals are skewed one way or the other, but that will always be the case.

Note the way you readily switch between 'feminism' and 'woman'. Feminists claim to be in favour of equality, but the words and actions of the majority consistently demonstrate otherwise.

A woman with high self esteem and intelligence =/= feminist.

Generally speaking tho, if the crux of your argument is that the other side has small dicks then you probably have a poor argument. This is true for pretty much everything this is applied to. I've always found this quite weird. What is the implication? To me it sounds like you're saying that since you believe in the right thing, you obviously have a large penis and are a more worthy mate. It's pretty bizarre when you think about it.

The argument goes something like:

In the 'good old days' when women were repressed, they were also much less sexually experienced. So, they didn't have anyway to know when a penis was small because they had nothing to compare it to.

These days, liberated women are much more sexually experienced, so they know a small penis when see it (and don't feel it).

Therefore, guys with little dicks want their women repressed.

There probably is some truth to the idea that life was easier for 'wee ones' back when women were less sexually experienced. But, them's the breaks.

Concerning the idea that people are judged on the basis of appearance--it happens ALL THE TIME.

As a matter of fact, lookism is the last socially acceptable form of bigotry there is.

There are plenty of scientific studies that prove that short, dumpy, unattractive people make less money, are less happy, and live shorter lives...

That relates to feminism in that, while it happens to everyone, it affects women much, much more.

Them's the breaks, too.

People are biased, despicable bastards. Deal with it.

I personally do not see why all females would be looking for a large penis in comparison to others. I am a small female and quite frankly would not mind a smaller penis than some I have experienced lol.

Is there a word like misogyny to refer to 'hatered of males'? since from what I understand misogyny is hatred of females unless I am confused. But that is why I take a bit of issue with 'feminism' because I am for aboloshing that and do not agree with specified gender roles and I like the idea of equal rights for everyone....problem with feminism is to me it only adresses the female aspect and not problems males face its too us vs. them for me I suppose.

Yesterday I went to meet my brother and we where at a park where there where a few people he knew, their acquaintances and other random people all sort of hanging out in the same area. Then some girl came up(it was like highschool age kids to young adults hanging out) and this guy told her he did not like her. I feel a feminist sort of person might have immediately jumped to this guy being some female hating jerk face, but the reason why was this girl had dated his brother and cheated on him and apparently her and her parents said some rather nasty stuff about lower income people. She seemed like a rather stuck up kinda person that I would not get along with initially anyways but I am not all that verbal about such things unless they directly do something to me or someone I care about.

Sometimes guys don't like females, and sometimes there is a good reason why they don't like that particular female. I mean it seems some people get carried away and assume in any given situation the female is an undeserving victim of unjustified hate, when that is hardly always the case. Also having taken some psychology classes in college and getting some understanding on what is known about how people think....the term feminism in itself is problematic because whether people mean to or not their mind will get caught up with that term and they'll have more of a focus on problems women face while ignoring issues males face and perhaps jumping to conclusions about misogynous where it is not the case.

Misandry is hatred of males, analogous to misogyny.

Wow 8 pages....

I understand some people taking issue where the lack of a level playing field has been flipped.

Those that are annoyed becuase they aren't guaranteed a traditional gender role exclusively, well tough.

There is definitely a blow-back. I think it is a bad approach to advocacy, where people are basically alright but they are made to feel like they are stepping on eggshells. This is a mistake of any rights movement to alienate people who aren't the enemy. On the other hand is if it pisses off people who are a stick in the mud, then so be it. No skin off my back.

How? Your position seems to be that anyone who has a problem with feminism is bitter over their lack of success with women, so how does my pointing out my multiple long term healthy relationships with women that happen to coexist with an antipathy towards feminism in any way support your theory?

I hope the feminist movement will explore my penis-size hypothesis. The penis card is potent, and could win them many battles.
