Strange question, non of us has any choice with evolution. Either way like it or not it is the reason we are all here. Unless of course you, for some peculiar reason believe the ignorant guesses of ancient camel jockeys trying to make sense of their world.

Any how gotta go of to find the edge of the world

How should I read the question? Who likes the fact of evolution or who likes the current theory of evolution?

Life has changed on this planet since it appeared here. That is a fact. How it came about is addressed by a number of theories including the Lamarkian theory of use and disuse and the Darwinian theory (its latest version) based on genetic variation and natural selection.

well its not a fact.. yes its plausable to some extent but it should never be taken at face value.

i have nothing against the theory but I dont like how poeple try to use it to disprove God as it doesnt

i also dislike how people say science is the opisite of religion.. i say it is one.

Darwin also accepted the idea of use and disuse; that was not a specifically Lamarckian idea. And he had no knowledge of genetics. The distinction between Darwin and Lamarck was that Darwin had the idea of natural selection, while Lamarck upheld a concept of progressive development (things naturally tend to get more complex).

Evolution actually is an observed fact- that is incontestable unless you simply deny the evidence. The mechanism by which it occurs is the theory. You are correct that it does not disprove God.

Me too! I've read a lot about evolution in recent years, particularly (but not exclusively) Richard Dawkins' books. "The Selfish Gene" is eye-opening and mind-blowing. "Climbing Mount Improbable" is also particularly good.

"The Beak of the Finch", by Jonathan Weiner, is another good one.

"Why Evolution is True", by Jerry Coyne, is on my Xmas list. :D

Yes indeed, I find evolution fascinating.

I actually agree in some sense. It seems to me that there is nothing to like about evolution, other than the effectiveness of it in explaining reality.

It's not a question of like. It's a fact whether you like it or not.
