Poor baby. Accepting the reality of the situation - that every scientific study thus far conducted, by corporation, university, or government, has debunked his little pet "theory" about mercury - might hurt his book sales! He must take every opportunity that every third-rate website or tabloid publication provides him to boost that sales, lest he actually have to - gasp - work for a living!

(Incidentally, the word "theory" is in quotes above because it's not a theory. Scientifically speaking, a theory is a hypothesis with sufficient evidential or experimental backing to consider it pretty well "proved" in the common sense - being "proved" in the scientific sense is such a high hurdle that even gravitation hasn't passed it yet. What this fellow is boosting is a hypothesis - "hey, maybe this is what's going on?" If he wanted to advance it to the level of theory, he'd have to be willing to investigate the questions raised, and accept the answers - even if the answers throw his precious "theory" into the trash.)
