give to the charity of your choice, but i would like to advise against the usa Red Cross as they're a disorganised, mismanaged mess. if you're going to donate money, i suggest Medicins Sans Frontieres, aka Doctors Without Borders. they're an awesome org.

I agree that Doctor's Without Borders is worthy. There are some lists of established organizations on the internet, but it was sad to read that pretty much all of them are having trouble getting the aid through to those who need it. Be aware that scammers can and will take advantage of human generosity, so take care who you give to.

Grading Aid topic

I have been following this news story for a few days, and in Haiti assistance is a logistical nightmare. Everyone has ideas about how to distribute the aid so far, and priority about saving people from entombment in wrecked buildings I think should be paramount. But what about the injured and homeless? Coordinated effort is what is needed and this takes some time. People are feeling guilty about neglecting Haiti for so long they do not know where to start with this newest disaster. :(

Haiti is famous for supposedly having voodoo zombies.

SO I made a contrived acronym that spells THEGAME.

I already donated to the American Red Cross. It was listed directly from the White House's website.

I really like Medecins Sans Frontieres, they have the balls to say stuff like "please don't give us any more money for that particular case" or "empathetic sissies who just want to help people need not apply" :p I've always regretted not trying to get a medical degree just for the fact that I believe I'd be perfect for an organisation like that :P
