This is an interesting, and hopefully insightful comic. I hope you read and come to understand the problems of your beliefs.

Dara O Briain on amongst other things, homeopathy. Pretty funny, and agreeable (for me).

I haven't seen dentarthurdent for a while, didn't know he was still active here.

Ok I opened the page, saw homeopathy and closed it again. Time to put this issue to bed, I was raised by a mother who fervently STRIDENTLY believes in the efficacy of homeopathics. I took the 'medication' offered and just accepted that it had a different healing technique. As I got older I came to understand the claims made by homeopaths, but decided, that although it seemed a tad odd 'what the heck it appears to work'.

7 years ago I got my Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences Naturopathy, and had my first glance at how the homeopaths prepared the 'medications' and this made me extremely skeptical (for the record Homeopathy does not make up a single solitary unit of my degree, nor have I studied it). So from this point on I was agnostic (leaning towards disbelief) about the paradigm, preferring to use tried and tested herbal and nutritional medications, but still open to the possibility that homeopathics might be useful.

Then about 12 months ago I got into a private discussion with Fuzzy on the issue, and he pointed out just how falsifiable the paridigm actually is. This discussion left me with next to ZERO belief in its non placebo efficacy. The following day I posted a question regarding homeopathy, asking people to suspend disbelief and come up with a way in which it could work, this was an attempt to find a reason why it appears to work for mums animals and so clear up my final doubts. In that thread I stated quite clearly that I highly doubted its efficacy. Since then I have had ZERO belief in homeopahtics outside the healing effect of the Patient/Practitioner relationship and that of placebo.
