Yes, I know it is a "buffer zone" but you don't see these farmers charging towards the border with suicide belts. They are just harvesting wheat or whatever they are harvesting.

Soldiers. They're being given orders to do this somewhere. It a buffer zone. According to them, people aren't supposed to be there.

Its against international law to shoot people who are unarmed and who pose no threat to your safety and the safety of others. If it is against policy for people to be in the buffer zone, then the soldiers should escort them away. If the farmers start assaulting the soldiers, THEN the soldiers can take appropriate action.

Acceptable to whom? The standard phrase today is collateral damage. I doubt it has yet been used to excuse rape but give it time.

Everything built up on the Israeli side is Israeli property. One can argue over land but over buildings, factories. mills, railroads, highways, pipeline and physical infrastructure. What do Palestinians build anyway. Wretched dwellings and second rate buildings. They neither weave nor do they spin and the Palestinians have no industrial or technological output. Israel, on the other hand, as a land of technological innovators. Over half the advances in medicine come out of Israel. Israel has been a leader in the production of medical scanning equipment.
